New Zoeva Brushes 2015

For 2015 Zoeva have recently launched 8 new brushes which I have been trailing since early December. I've said it a good few times now but I really do believe that 2015 will be Zoeva's year - not only are the brushes incredible but the make-up line is not to be missed. If I could recommend one brand to try this year it would be Zoeva, I well and truly mean that! So yes 8 new brushes...

Zoeva 107 Powder Polish Brush £14.95 - a large, fluffy yet dense brush which is perfect for use with mineral or powder foundation as it allows you to really buff such product into the skin. It is fairly sizeable yet not overwhelmingly so with a soft what tapered top allowing you to get into those hard to reach areas such as the nose and under eye area. I do rate this as a powder brush be it foundation, loose powder or even blush but it also works wonderfully well with liquid products due to the denseness of the brush. If you like a flawless finish from your foundation with very little work this is the brush for you.

Zoeva 109 Face Paint Brush £11.50 - easily my favourite brush from the new line up, a sharp, blunt square edged brush that could perhaps be a dupe for NARS ITA Kabuki Brush. I don't personally own the NARS version and doubt I will bother now as the Zoeva version is more than satisfactory. The squared edge oddly makes contouring a dream, simply use to apply your sculpting product of choice (cream, liquid or powder - this brush does it all) in a broad sweep into the hollows and then buff out using the same brush. The density of this brush makes light work of buffing out even the harshest of lines. Every contouring fan should own one.

Zoeva 112 Face Curve Brush £11.50 - this is the one brush I don't reach for all that much as I prefer flat top foundation brushes. This is a flat, pointed dual fibre fairly small foundation that allows you to apply foundation with ease to the entire face fairly quickly or to smaller targeted areas. Like I said I don't really use this as a foundation brush but rather to apply concealer to my under eye area or for cream highlighting products.

Zovea 114 Face Focus Brush £11.50 - a great little brush for subtle highlighting and contouring with powder products or setting the under eye area with loose powder. This is the perfect multi-purpose brush for travel, you can even use it to buff out eyeshadow should you wish.

Zoeva 129 Luxe Fan Brush £9.50 - perfect for precision highlighting or dusting away any fall out from eye make-up. You could also use this to set under eye make-up. If I am entirely honest this is a little drier in texture compared to the other brushes.

Zoeva 220 Luxe Grand Shader Brush £7.50- a small, stubby eyeshadow shading brush that is really dense but incredibly soft which is very important when it comes to working with such a delicate area of the face. Unlike a lot of shading brushes this can be used to pack on colour as well as blending should you wish.

Zoeva 310 Spot Liner Brush £5.95 - a teeny tiny eye liner brush that has been created for use with gel and liquid liners. If like myself you are a subscriber to the thought that the smaller the better when it comes to eye liner brushes you may want to invest in this. The small flat edge makes this perfectly suited to really getting close to the upper and lower lash line to give the illusion of longer, thicker eyelashes as well as creating all the feline flicks you desire. As someone with small eyes I can not recommend this brush enough.

Zoeva 325 Luxe Brow Light Brush £6.95 -The title petty much says it all, this super soft, large and flat brush allows you to apply eyeshadow and highlighting products to the brow area quickly yet with precision. Yes it is a little stumpy but should you wish you can also use it to blend on such area of the face. Not my favourite brush but the quality is there.

In my opinion Zoeva brushes are really well made with soft, animal cruelty free bristles (some of which are vegan) that are not only affordable but in terms of quality on par with MAC et al. Each brush is weighted for ease of use, professionally presented with the majority coming with brush head guards not to mention they clean up beautifully after each use. The other great thing about Zoeva brushes is that there is a brush for every need and desire. If you are in the market for new brushes I truly can not recommend the brand enough.
