I will warn you now that there is no make-up products in this weeks round up as I really let my skin breathe over the last seven days. Horrid break outs aside it has been a rather lovely week and I feel refreshed and ready to get my blog on so expect regular service commencing as of tomorrow. Until then here is what I have been digging...
The surface of my forehead is once again plagued with mila and under the skin blemishes, I'm not really sure what is the cause of my clogged pores. To hopefully remedy the problem I have been relying on my Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush combined with Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap. I can't say that my forehead has cleared as of yet but I can sing the praises of Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap, combined with any cleansing brush this leaves my skin feeling deeply cleansed without stripping it of excess oils. My make-up seems to sit better on my face if that at all makes sense, softer and despite my forehead woes the rest of my skin seems to be behaving better. Gentle yet so effective. I will share a full review of Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap in the coming days but if you use any type of cleansing brush I do fully recommend this.
Two Origins launches I can't get enough of are Origins Plantscription Anti-Ageing Power Eye Cream and Origins Make A Difference Night. The eye cream is rich, creamy yet doesn't feel overwhelming. It has been created to of course help ward off the signs of ageing but I find the texture perfect for evening use, especially now the weather is encouraging my skin to dry out. Another nightly must have for me at the moment is Origins Make A Difference Night if you have oily skin this is the night cream for you! Light, hydrating with an almost gel like texture that is quickly absorbed leaving skin feeling moisturised without a trace of residue.
My eyes have become rather easily irritated as of late and I'm not all that sure what is the cause. What I can say is that I tend to have Optrex ActiMist 2in1 Eye Spray for Itchy and Watery Eyes. I like that it not only works quickly but it can be sprayed over make-up should you need to without removing your eye make-up! A great little mist to keep in your handbag if your eyes are easily irritated.
Although it has yet to launch I have been slicking on Benefit's Puff Off since Thursday, it has been designed to smooth out fine lines around the under eye area but is a great little primer. I have really oily eye lids which extends to my under-eye area too and more often than not results in smudged mascara. Lovely! I find this has prevented this problem and generally creates a smoother eye area. I expect this will be an instant hit for Benefit!
Lastly a quick nod to Lush's Hot Toddy Shower Gel, another week has passed and I still can not get enough, It is warm, fuzzy and essentially smells like Christmas in a bottle. Get it while you can or forever regret it!
What have you been enjoying lately?
Is it weird that the Hot Toddy shower gel randomly looks/sounds like it could be edible?! Haha!
ReplyDeleteI love your Weekly Favourites Posts - I always look forward to them! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI need to get that Hot Toddy shower gel! I think it's more acceptable to use that every night instead of drinking the real thing...

I suffer with milia quite a bit too and it can really effect my confidence. Do you have any tips or top products to deal with them? Other than that, I love the post and always enjoy your weekly favourites. You now have me lusting over Origins, an excellent brand that I've overlooked lately xx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that :( I do have a little post here http://www.thesundaygirl.com/2014/02/how-i-treat-my-milia.html and truthfully it is still what I use. I will do an updated post soon though (the photos in this one are awful!) x
