Mario Badescu Skin Care clay mask / Glamglow Giftsexy / ANTIPODES Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream / ANTIPODES Hallelujah Cleanser / Midnight Recovery Eye Kiehls / Perfect Cleanse Omega Cleansing Jelly | Nude / Detox Brightening Fizzy Powder Wash | Nude / Skinesis Rapid Radiance Cleanse | Sarah Chapman / Shupette Ultim8 Cleansing Oil | Shu Uemura
1, Shupette Ultim8 Cleansing Oil £75
Do I only want this because it has a cat on the bottle? Most likely but in my defence I have tried the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil in the past and my skin did rather enjoy it...for a while. I found it to quickly cleanse, remove all traces of make-up as well as leaving my skin silky soft. After a while I did notice a good few white heads on my forehead so I am keen to re-try the formula to see if it or the circumstances were to blame.
2 and 3, Nude Perfect Cleanse Omega Cleansing Jelly £32 and Nude Detox Brightening Fizzy Powder Wash £38
If I am entirely honest it was the terms "Cleansing Jelly" and "Fizzy Powder Wash" that have piqued my interest - don't they sound fun? The Cleansing Jelly is essentially a soft balm cleanser from what I have gathered online - I do tend to veer towards this type of texture anyway so this will most likely be a good fit for me. The Nude Detox Brightening Fizzy Powder Wash sounds to be a powdered exfoliant similar to Indeed Labs Facial Powdered Exfoliant which I rather enjoy. I am keen to see just how alike the two formulations are.
4, Glamglow Giftsexy £50
I get asked fairly regularly what my thoughts are on the Glamglow masks which I have honestly only ever tried the once a good few years ago. I can't quite recall what I thought of it and oddly I haven't typed up a review. Keen to see what all the fuss is about I am seriously contemplating purchasing the Glamglow Giftsexy Kit which contains three of the brands best selling masks. £50 for one full size and two deluxe samples does seem a little steep though?
5, Skinesis Rapid Radiance Cleanse by Sarah Chapman £29
I've already made up my mind that the next time I am in Space.NK (most likely this week) that I am going to purchase the Skinesis Rapid Radiance Cleanse by Sarah Chapman. I need a new cleanser, this gets rave reviews and after a quick read up on what this does I am sold - cleanses, exfoliates and absorbs excess oil. The fact that it doubles up as a mask pretty much sealed the deal.
6, Mario Badescu Special Mask For Oily Skin £17.95
A mask created just for oily skin? I'm going to have to try it aren't I? Apparently this mask deeply cleanses the skin, clears and tightens pores as well as de-congesting the skin and soaking up excess oil. I have also read that this can calm blemish prone complexions too. I think I may go for this over the Glamglow pack as it seems better value for money and is also clay based?

7 and 8, Antipodes Skin Care
This is a brand that I forever look at on certain sites and never seem to order from, I do like the sounds of the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream and the Antipodes Hallelujah Cleanser but still remain to be fully sold. If like myself you have oily skin and have tried or love the brand any recommendations would be great.
9, Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye Cream £24.50
My favourite thing to purchase in terms of skin care is eye cream, I am borderline obsessed. A little like lip balm I like to keep a tube on my person at all times - there is no real logic behind my madness other than I'm determined to stay line free for as long as possible! I rather enjoy Kiehls Midnight Recovery Oil so I am hoping the eye cream could also be a winner. It claims to heal, brighten and tighten. Sounds good to me and unlike other eye creams with similar ingredients it is rather well priced.
Okay spill what is on your skincare wish list?
Oooh I'm really intrigued by the Sarah Chapman cleanser too! I've got both Nude things, the balm is quite cool as it rinses clean without a cloth/flannel (I find my skin is too sensitive to use flannels on it every day so I prefer balms that don't need one) and the powder is pretty nice too. I think the Indeed one exfoliates better but this one is very gentle and quite brightening. If you do end up purchasing them let us know how you get on!
ReplyDeleteMy skin is pretty unclear as well. But it's more of the scars after the blemishes for me. I hope you receive some of the products on yor Wishlist for Christmas! :) x

Paula´s Choice is currently clearing my skin. It´s getting better and better each day. Not perfect (this is not what I´m expecting) but it´s clearer, smooth and there aren´t that much blemishes as before. For now. I hope it will stay like this!
ReplyDeleteThe Sarah Chapman cleanser sounds amazing!

My skin has gone mad in the last week too, I don't know what's wrong with it, I haven't done anything different :( That Mario Badescu mask looks gorgeous so I might have to try that in an attempt to get my skin back to normal. Hope yours clears up soon!

Great Post, I love the Sarah Chapman Hydrating Booster so it's definitely worth getting in these winter months. My skin is in such a great condition and feels so much more healthier. I have Keihls Creamy Avocado Eye Cream on my wishlist! Anyone posted about it?

The Kiehl's MR eye cream is great - I'm onto my second tube. I actually use it for daytime, with Estee Lauder ANR at night. It does seem to have a slight tightening/firming effect.
ReplyDeleteI've just had a sample from Space NK of the Nude Cleansing Jelly and its quite 'meh'. Tbh, I prefer The Body Shop Nutriganics or the Elemis wash off cleansing balms, they seem to do a far more effective job of removing make up.
Lovely picks! I'm currently using the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery eye cream and quite like it! I'm dying to try some Sarah Chapman as well :)
