I know I am not alone in having two wishlists - one as a matter of urgency (a.k.a once pay day comes around you will be mine) and another in which lists products I will get around to purchasing at some point? Basically beauty items I like the idea of or perhaps a certain celebrity uses and I want to see what the fuss is all about or they are out of instant grasp *cough* Sephora *cough*. If you are nodding in agreement read on - if not get working on those lists Missy/Mr!
1, MAC Soar and Spice Lip Liners - First we read that Kylie Jenner uses MAC Whirl to over draw her lips then her big sister Kim Kardashian pipes up saying that it is in fact MAC Spice and Soar that more often than not is reached for. Personally I don't like the extremely overdrawn look but each to their own and my make-up is far from perfect. I own MAC Whirl but at times it is a little too brown on me so hopefully one of the above choices will be more "me". I guess we shall see.
2, While we are on the topic of MAC I do forever mean to purchase MAC Soft and Gentle MSF and never do. The reason being is that MAC launch numerous limited edition collections each month and this is where my money goes. The allure of something being limited in stock and time will always reel me in. Word!
3, I am somewhat collecting Tom Ford fragrances - maybe enjoy is a better word but either way I want a few more. Topping my to buy one day list is Tom Ford Santal Blush Eau de Parfum and
Tom Ford Tuscan Leather both utterly beautiful, decadent and hard to resist as someone who is lead by their nose. With Christmas and just about all my loved ones birthday's in the next few weeks (I'm literally the only Spring baby I know) I will most likely have to hold off until 2015. It is a hard eh?
4, I love neutral toned eyeshadows and the main thing stopping me from purchasing Burberry Eyeshadow in Pale Barley is that Burberry counters are few and far between. The next time I'm in London (next month FYI) this will be purchased. Merry Christmas to me indeed.
5, Like I have said one times too many times I am totally obsessed with candles, it is sad really and probably hints at Pyromania in some sense or other. Let's not dwell on that and chat about Bella Freud candles - super cool, beautifully scented and a grown up investment. Yankee candles scream fun, Diptyque candles say enjoy me with a bath and a glass of something where as Bella Freud says well done on the new apartment with the city view. No just me? Hopefully one day soon I will hand over the cash and a few Bella Freud candles will come home with me. To an apartment in Brooklyn? Probably not but a girl can dream (and work bloody hard).
6, This is really a case of now or never as it is limited edition but the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette somewhat speaks to me but not quite enough for me to add to my basket, virtual or otherwise. I was in Sephora less than a fortnight ago, looked at it, swatched it and walked away. Every now and then I think "hmm I'd like to own you", followed by "don't be ridiculous you'll never use it". Internal monologue is a bish! I also feel the same way about the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Blush Palette but as I own five out of the six products within it that would just be straight up stupid!
7, I have more skin care than I currently need but every now and then I have a pang of sudden need or should I say want for Clinique's Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm and yet never pick it up. The problem is when I go to a Clinique counter I get so easily distracted by everything that is going on I forget what I came in for in the first place. Once I finish one of my current cleansers this will be my next purchase...unless I get blind-sighted by a lipstick or blush or perfume.
8. Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palettes, now these babies rank higher on my want list than everything else on here combined but they are so tricky to get a hold off. I was in the US a few weeks ago and both Ulta's that I went to either didn't stock the brand or had sold out. To make things more frustrating Ulta wouldn't deliver to the hotel either. Ugh. One day my pretties...one day!
What makes your "When I get around to it list!"?

Soft and Gentle oh yes, I can't get my hands on it for couple of months now. I simply end up spending all money before I get to a MAC store :/
ReplyDeleteLOVE the sound of Tom Ford fragrance, need to start saving!

I'm afraid Soar and Spice are even more brown than Whirl...
ReplyDeleteI really don't understand this lip pencil trend, it's so unnatural and weird! But perhaps I'm too classical in my taste! ;)
Oh no :( back to the drawing board! I like lip liners as they give me the super matte lip I crave but I'm with you on the over drawing thing haha!
DeleteSoar is a pinky brown color.
DeleteHere you can see a swatch of both: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/108227197270119108/

Soft and Gentle is definitely on my list of things to try! I really enjoyed this blog post, it is such a fun idea.

So so true! I have wish lists for everything!! Handbags, Makeup... You name it!! Lilly xx http://alittlelilly.blogspot.nl/
ReplyDeleteSpice is perfect for wearing under lipstick to give the illusion of fuller lips. Soar is next on my list! Soft & Gentle is nice but not a necessity in my opinion. It's REALLY pigmented and easy to go ott glitter ball with. And yep, I too have a 'to buy' list and more of a wishlist of things that take me longer to get round to buying. I always do get them eventually, it just takes a lot longer for some reason!
ReplyDeleteYou have great taste. I love the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm, expensive but works so freaking well!

The Clinique cleanser is on my Christmas list, I've been wanting to try it for ages!

These are all great products. I also am not too keen on the over drawn lippie. I lick my lips a lot and it would look awful 10 minutes into wearing it! Haha.

I completely agree with Soft and Gentle. I've been planning on buying that one for about two years!
ReplyDeleteThat Burberry though! Far too tempting if you ask me!! I have finally found an online store that ships directly to NZ, so its good bye money and hello to beautiful Burberry. Might have to get that shadow too haha, who needs money anyway.
