Five of the Best Budget Beauty Products to Try

In my opinion of course, there are lots of budget beauty products out there but this in my current round up of five of the best. Five products that won't break the bank but preform better than many high end products out there, what's not to like?

Five of the Best Budget Beauty Products to Try

Tesco Radiance Melting Gel Cleanser
This is a light, gel based cleanser that has a very, very similar texture to Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel only marginally cheaper (yay!). I am not a skin care expert (far from it) but can say that as someone with fairly sensitive skin on occasion that gel cleansers seem to be the most gentle approach for me, the balm like texture comforts and cools my skin and the vast majority can also be used to gently remove eye make-up. The gel base quickly emulsifies when it comes into contact with water making removal easy all of which is true for Tesco Pro Formula Radiance Melting Gel Cleanser. It makes easy removal of even the heaviest of make-up, feels great on the skin and does leave my complexion soft to the touch with a slight glow. You really do need to track this down next time you are in store. You can find it here for £5 - link.

Superdrug Body Butter in Cherry and Macadamia
As you may imagine this smells out of this world but the scent alone is not enough to gain entry on to this list. This body butter is rather luxurious - thick with an almost whipped texture that not only quickly hydrates the skin but sinks in within moments even on damp skin without a trace. If you suffer from dry skin then I'd put this top of your list, you may or may not end up sniffing your skin all day long. I resisting the urge to write YOLO! At a mere £1.99 for a large 400ml tub you'd be nuts (geddit?) not to try it! Find it here via Superdrug  - link.

Dove Oxygen Moisture Souffle Treatment
Although Dove have marketed this towards fine and flat hair I can happily say that it works just as well on thick and out of control hair. If like myself you have long hair or hair that is easily weighed down - make this your next purchase. It deeply conditions, de-tangles, leaves the hair feeling soft and nourished yet doesn't weigh it down. I use it weekly in place of a normal conditioner and can truly say the ends of my hair have never felt nor looked better! I quickly want to mention the texture - a liquid like almost gel conditioner which is best approached with a less is more attitude. It seems to expand once on the hair so one tub will last a good few months even with regular use. Find it via Boots for £6.99 - link.

Topshop Lipstick in Innocent
This goes for any Topshop Lipstick really, I consider them to be one of the high street's hidden little gems. Topshop Lipstick in Innocent which is a dusky, light blue toned pink lipstick which is not entirely dissimilar to MAC's Angel Lipstick in both colour and formula. Topshop lipsticks are well pigmented, creamy, comfortable to wear and long lasting. I own a good few and fully recommend them to all. I should also point out that many of Topshop's lipsticks more often than not end up being dupes of more expensive brands such as YSL, MAC et al. You can find the Topshop Lipsticks via Topshop for £8 each - link.

Revlon Bold Lacquer by Grow Luscious Length and Volume Mascara
A mouthful yes and it did seem a little gimmicky but this is one of the few mascaras I swear by. As someone with often oily skin I find mascara can smudge rather quickly and easily - this does not flake never mind smudge! It doesn't clump despite my desire to apply four coats, it simply creates long, fluttery eyelashes with plenty of volume. I can't contest if it does or does not encourage eyelashes to grow but it is a brilliant all round mascara regardless and on the plus side my eyelashes have never looked better! You can find it here for £9.99 - link.
