Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush 2

I know that some may not agree that one brush warrants a full review post but if I was forking out £33 on a make-up brush I'd want to know just how well it preforms. To the naked eye the Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush 2 may appear to be a rather bizarre contraption but trust me the curved and almost uneven shape of the brush head really does hug the face's natural contours, creating a unique experience. That is right I said experience.

I believe that the Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush 2 has been somewhat categorised as a foundation brush which I won't argue with but it is so much more than that. As a foundation brush it allows you to quickly blend the liquid or cream into the face, achieving a streak free finish in as little as three strokes. Personally I do like to take a little more time when it comes to blending but there is no denying the large brush head does make light work of the task. The curved shape allows you to apply foundation to those pesky areas such as the under eye or contour of the nose with ease and as the brush is dense it tends to make foundation spread that little further. The Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush 2 is fairly weighty which overall adds to the ease of use. If you are prone to over applying liquid base products then this could be the answer to your woes. The Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush 2  doesn't soak up foundation either which is my biggest bug bear when it comes to any brush - waste not, want not!

If you are a fan of contouring (who isn't these days?) this is the brush you have been waiting for. The somewhat angled head makes sculpting a breeze, it neatly slots into the hollows of the cheeks for expert precision and as the brush head is firm you can also use it to slim down the nose or other areas of the face. The same applies for blush, if you are seeking a chiselled look this is the brush that should be topping your wish list. I should point out that this is a fairly dense yet soft brush, when it comes to applying powder a less is more approach should be taken. Personally I use the Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush 2 for precision and then use a fluffier blush to blend out harsh lines. As I don't contour daily this isn't too much of a problem and it is worth it for the end result.

Define, sculpt or simply save time - this brush does it all.
