Lush Christmas Shower Gels 2014

Last night I popped along to Lush Buchanan Street for the Christmas launch (shout out to all the nice peeps that work there!) with one thing on my mind. Buy all the Christmas shower gels and buy them now and that I did. I first got to test out the new festive additions back in July and I kid you not Lush Hot Toddy Shower Gel has haunted me ever since. There is three shower gels in total, two new and of course it wouldn't be Christmas without the return of Lush Snow Fairy.

You best believe I have already tried out the new shower gels already - bathing twice a day not only keeps you clean but it sure whittles away at those hours. I jest. Anyway here is a quick run down of all the fragrances and what I think. Quickly I do want to say that all three so far seem to cleanse equally (most likely the same base ingredients with different scents, I'm too lazy to check), don't seem to be drying on the skin and lather up beautifully. I am a huge fan of Lush shower gels in general as they can double up as shampoo and are gentle on the skin.

Lush Hot Toddy Shower Gel (£3.95-£13.75) - One word? Obsessed. It quite literally smells like someone has taken all the prancing images of Christmas that float around my empty head each December and bottled them. It is spicy but warming (a little like the beverage with the same name) with notes of cloves, cinnamon and ginger and a little glitter too for good measure. If ever there was a shower gel that screamed Christmas this is it. In my opinion this is the perfect pre-bed shower gel (or bubble bath should you wish) as it is oddly sleepy in scent - I realise on paper or screen that may seem absurd but I'm sure if you try it out you will agree. I can't help but day dream of a crackling fire, new pj's and bed when I think of this. Gosh I really do live on the edge ha!

Lush So White Shower Gel (£4.50-£14.75) - An apple based shower gel? I know what you are thinking bizarre but it really isn't it is rather divine if I do say so myself. Borrowing the light apple fragrance from the Lush Bath Bomb of the same name this shower gel is a gentle and pure apple scent that reminds me of freshly fallen snow. Odd I know but it is such a gentle apple scent, not your typical spiced offering nor does it smell like cheap apple shampoo (I know you hear me on that one). If you want something a little less traditionally festive this is the one I'd go for - same if you rather enjoy apple based scents. I have feeling this would also combine beautifully with Hot Toddy above should you feel like experimenting.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel (£3.75-£11.95) - She's backkkkk!!! The sweeter than sweet pink, glitter flecked shower gel that we all look forward to each year. Again not exactly the most festive of scents but entirely addictive! In my house hold this fragrance is the bone of contention - I feel it smells like Juicy Fruit Chewing Gum, my sister says it is straight up bubblegum and the bottle states it is based on Pear Drop sweets. Who is right? I only purchased the small bottle this time around as there is only so many festive showers a gal can have. No doubt I'll regret this decision (I already am as I type) and go back for a bigger bottle. We shall see!

Next year Lush be a pal and bring back all of the above but can we pretty please also have Lush Christmas Eve in Shower Gel form. I'd be one happy chappy. What scent do you think you'll pick up?
