Zoeva Brushes

Gone are the days when reasonably priced make-up brushes meant poor quality, scratchy, quick to shed brushes. In fact there is many a kind on the pocket make-up brush line that can easily rival more pricey options, such as Zoeva. I'm fairly late to jump on the Zoeva bandwagon (I only discovered the line back in July) but let me say that the Zoeva brushes soft, oh my soft, let's stroke them against our face soft and the best part is that they are totally affordable!

I have three new brushes to add to my collection, two of which are pretty decent MAC dupes. Lets begin with my current favourite blush brush the Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush. Head over to the MAC web site, have a look at the MAC 168 Brush and tell me that this is not a dupe. I actually own the MAC 168 brush and can vouch that the Zoeva brush is almost identical the main difference is that the Zoeva version is softer. Both brushes can be used to contour, highlight or for blush. Ideally I would like to own three one for each use as the angled brush head really does make creating chiselled cheekbones oh so easy. The angled bristles easily slot into the contours of the face and the soft bristles help to diffuse any powder product with ease.

If like myself you enjoy wearing cream eyeshadow then you need the Zoeva 229 Eye Finish Brush in your life. This duo fibre brush which happens to be a great dupe for the MAC 286 brush features synthetic fibre bristles, a tapered brush head and weighted handle that not only aids application of cream products but can be used to blend out powder eyeshadow too. Personally I use it to slick on primer and cream eyeshadow, as it is so soft it helps create a soft look yet easily and evenly disperses cream products. I tend to favour the Zoeva 229 Eye Finish Brush when creating a smoky eye using my beloved MAC Paint Pot in Eclair.

Do you wear red lipstick? How many times have you taken your favourite shade out with you only to wish for a lip brush to ensure perfect application? Yeah me too. In the past there has been a good few travel friendly lip brushes i.e ones that feature a lid so they don't stain your bag but they tend to be rather poorly made. Enter Zoeva Lip Contour Brush, a sleekly presented full sized lip brush (the head not the handle) that will easily take place in the smallest of clutch bags. Again the bristles are synthetic so that they are soft yet dense enough to line the lips with precision. What I tend to do with capped lip brushes is load the brush with lipstick, pop the lid on and use that throughout the night. By doing so I don't need to take my lipstick out with me which not only saves space but eradicates the chance of me loosing it once the wine starts flowing.

I would recommend the Zoeva brush line to all, be it to professionals right down to new make-up wearers. Each brush is a dream to use, washes up beautifully each and every time, the bristles don't shed nor do they splay or stain. Each brush is lightweight yet slightly weighted for ease of use. Normally when you pay less, the quality isn't there but that really isn't the case with Zoeva brushes, I truly couldn't be more impressed. So much so that I have added the Zoeva Luxe Complete Brush Set to my Christmas Wish List (hint, hint Santa baby).

You can find the entire line up of Zoeva brushes via Love-Makeup - link.
