Here is what is happening in the beauty world at the moment...
One for all my curly haired readers "Haircare brand Umberto Giannini has relaunched its curl range, Curl Friends. The brand has introduced new regimes to cater for creating waves, controlling natural curls and taming unruly curls. Key products within the collection include: silicone free Detangling Shampoo and Curl Enhancing Conditioner; Shapely Curls Defining Mousse, which creates soft, tumbling waves; Curl Scrunching Jelly, used to create a wave or to add shine and definition; Intense Conditioner, containing a blend of natural grapeseed oil and shea butter; Styling Cream, with heat protection up to 240 degrees; Slimming Cream, with panthenol and 18 MEA to replenish the lipid layer of the hair; and Nourishing Oil, formulated with coconut oil for curly hair. The Curl Friends range is available at Boots stores nationwide and on the brand's website. In addition, the brand has also launched its first mix n match blow dry bar in Selfridges, Birmingham."
We've already established I'm not entirely sold (the shade is bizarre and Rihanna has already been a MAC girl several times over) on the new MAC Viva Glam collection but none the less here is a little extra information. "MAC Cosmetics has announced the launch of MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 2, offering a new shade of Lipstick and Lipglass to the collection. Viva Glam Rihanna II Lipstick is available in a warm mauve with silver frost, while the Lipglass shade is a cool mauve with red frost. The full RRP and less VAT from each sale goes towards helping women, men and children everywhere affected by HIV and AIDS." This will launch in September.
Clarins Autumn has finally launched and let me tell you it has been worth the wait! "Beauty brand Clarins has announced the launch of its new Autumn Make-up Collection, offering a range of new products that focus on the eyes with a variety of colours and finishes. 3-Dot Eye Liner returns in a new limited edition brown shade, enriched with growth-stimulating ingredients that condition lashes, while the triple point sponge application delivers precise lines and intense colour with ease. Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow is a cream-to-powder formula that offers the comfort and smoothing effect of a cream with the fine quality hold of a powder. Eyeshadows are available in six earthy and natural shades. The Perfect Eyes and Brows Palette with built-in mirror includes three powders to shape and even out brows, a holding wax and a beige-pink shadow to enhance the eyes and brow area, as well as a double applicator, eye brow brush and mini tweezers. Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base smooths, evens, brightens and provides radiance to eyelids while improving eyeshadow hold. Eye Quartet Mineral Palette offers a 'skin tones' shade collection with a blend of beige, brown and two taupe shades. The collection also features five new shade additions to the Rouge Eclat age-defying lipstick range. New shades include: Candy Rose, Strawberry Sorbet, Red Fuchsia, Pink Magnolia and Chestnut Brown."
If you are bored of the typical nude/neutral eyeshadow offerings NYX Suede palettes may be for you. Yes they feature some of your typical brown shades but they also offer little pops of colour in deep, gem stone shades. Truly beautiful. Annoyingly they have yet to hit the UK but if you are stateside you know what to look out for!
Steamcream always do the sweetest packaging and the cream inside is a great all rounder. I can't wait for the new Christmas tins to launch - I know a few stockings they will be gracing this coming December! "Skincare brand STEAMCREAM has announced the launch of its limited edition festive tin designs for Christmas. Designs include: Grandma's Secret, Lumiere, Little Ted, Little Ted & Friends, Gold Crystal, Silver Crystal and Original. STEAMCREAM is suitable for all skin types and ages and is light and loosely bound so it penetrates into the skin leaving it smooth, supper and flexible for longer. Containing high quality, sustainable sourced raw materials such as neroli, rose absolute, chamomile blue, lavender essential oil, sweet almond oil and cocoa butter, STEAMCREAM is a natural approach to healthy and hydrated skin." Look out for them launching in November.
I feel the need to invest in a Penhaligon’s fragrance but don't really know where to begin? Anyway there is a new range out this coming Septemeber should you be feeling flush (£120 each) "Penhaligon’s introduces the Trade Routes Collection, featuring three new fragrances; each inspired by the luxurious and decadent commodities which were traded through London’s historic docks at the turn of the 19th Century. Lothair is inspired by the famous Tea Clipper Ships that navigated the globe to bring exotic wares to British shores and includes top notes of red berries, juniper berry, cardamom, bergamot, grapefruit and fig leaf. Heart notes comprise fig milk, lavender, magnolia, geranium and black tea, while vanilla, musks, cedarwood, ambergris, wenge and oakmoss are at the base. Empressa is inspired by the pearls, precious silks and fine fabrics transported through London and contains top notes of blood orange, bergamot and mandarin, middle notes of peach, cassis, dewberry, rose, neroli, geranium, cardamom, pink and black pepper, while vanilla pod, cocoa, frankincense, amber, musk, woods, patchouli, sandalwood and maltol are at the base. Levantium is inspired by the mix of rum and spices, flowers, woods and resins which found their way to London and contains top notes of bergamot, davana, saffron and absinthe, middle notes of rose, jasmine, violet, clove, cardamom, ylang ylang and peach, while amber, myrrh, guaiacwood, sandalwood, cedarwood, oud, patchouli, musk, maltol and vanilla are at the base."

I really want to try Streamcream but I've read such mixed reviews on it. The tins are definitely what made me research it a little more, they are so beautiful.
