NARS is one of my favourite brands to lust after and more importantly treat myself with every now and then. I won't pretend for one minute that I see NARS as a budget or even high street brand, in my opinion it is high end and a brand I more than take my time to consider any purchases. As much as I wish I was made of money, I'm not (not really I'd rather have a supermodel's body, please and thank you) so I never purchase anything from NARS on a whim. Here is what I picked up a few days ago...

NARS Nail Polishes in Shameless Red and Ithaque - NARS have recently reformulated their nail polishes and I was very kindly gifted two bottles to try out and I have to say I am so impressed. Other than Chanel Nail Lacquers I don't often splurge when it comes to my nails but you really need to try out NARS Shameless Red once it launches it is a great orange based red that really off sets a tan. If you are after a quick but polished slick of colour (excuse the pun) then NARS Ithaque is the one. I will review in full once they launch.

NARS Illuminator in Super Orgasm (you can find it here - link) - Okay bear with me NARS Super Orgasm is the most glittery shade within all NARS lines. For that reason most people loathe it and avoid as a result but when it comes to the Illuminators do try it out. Yes it is glittery but on the skin - legs and chest it is utterly beautiful, especially when teamed with a tan. I bought it with my upcoming holiday in mind and can't wait to team it with shorts and tanned limbs come the night fall...getting a little ahead of myself huh?

NARS Matte Multiple in Vieintiane (you can find it here via Space.NK - link) - I have wanted a matte NARS Multiple since they launched a good few months but couldn't settle on a shade. Each time I swatched them on counter my opinion changed. I was lucky enough to recieve a make over at my local NARS counter and the artist used the NARS Matte Multiple in Vieintiane as a contour both on my cheeks and eyes. Needless to say I was sold on the spot and bought the very same thing there and then. I have yet to try this light, golden brown on my lips but who knows it may be oh so 90's...or utterly horrendous.

NARS Mizubake Kabuki Brush (you can find it here again via Space.NK - link) - I'll level I had my eye on the NARS Mie Kabuki Brush and still do but it was sold out when I went to purchase it. Sods law as usual. This brush is nice enough, soft, with a dense flat top that makes light work of blending out harsh lines as well as being great at applying powder products. I really like the handle, the texture means it is so easy to grip and the slightly weighted effect allows precision and control. All of that and I can't say it is worth the £43...sorry.

This post contains gifted products as well as products purchased with my own money.
