Body lotion, something I have oodles of and seldom use.
Why? It is as simple as I am lazy and I find the whole task laborious. Extreme. Yes probably.
However last week due to a self tan addiction (again I am exaggerating) I noticed that the skin of my arms was looking rather reptilian, time to bust out the big guns and give my bottle of Kiehl's Creme de Corps a whirl.
The first thing I want to hammer home is the fact that Kiehl's Creme de Corps is unscented, this might not be to everyone's taste but personally I enjoy unscented body products as they don't interfere with my perfume choices throughout the day. It also makes it truly unisex. The texture is thick and buttery, it quickly absorbs into the skin, is non-sticky nor greasy and is as light as can be. Yet it moisturises the skin on my body like no other and it can be used on my eczema too. As soon as I apply it my skin feels supple, instantly softer and it soothes any irritated and inflamed areas of skin. Can I get a hallelujah. As mentioned I had extremely dry skin on my arms which was all but gone within two days of daily application of Kiehl's Creme de Corps - I apply after my morning shower and before I go to bed. In all honesty if you have normal skin one application would be more than enough and due to the thick texture approach with a less is more attitude.
As you many know Kiehl's Creme de Corps is a best selling product of cult status and that is due to the formulation which includes the finest of ingredients such as shea butter, olive, sweet almond and sesame street oil, avocado oil and apricot kernal oil. All known to soften and renew the skin. Yes Kiehl's Creme de Corps is not cheap but sometimes great products come at a cost (my bank balance often weeps) and this is one of the few expensive body products I not only rate but would purchase time and time again. The only body lotion I have ever felt that is not only worth the hype but the cost.
Kiehl's Creme de Corps £8.50 - £45 via Kiehl's - link.
I've heard so much about this brand. The Midnight Recovery is forever on my wishlist. Not sure if an unscented body lotion would appeal to me. Kinda takes the fun away for applying it, don't you think? However when I was pregnant I know this would have been right up my street as I hated most smells! :)

I hear ya :) for me I need the moisture but find a lot of body lotions to be really heavily scented and don't always mix well with my perfume if that makes sense? I.e The Body Shop's Tangerine Body Butter is not friends with Chanel Chance haha!
DeleteKiehls are such a great brand - their lip balm is amazing! This body lotion sounds absolutely gorgeous - but I definitely do NOT need it. I need to get my way through the rest of my current stash!

The only product I've every tried from Kiehls is their lip balm. I love it! I've never really gotten the chance to try any of their other products, although this lotion seems lovely :)

I do like this moisturiser but I've found lots of cheaper ones that do a very similar job to this one!
ReplyDeleteOh wow that sounds so good, I get dry patches too and this would be awesome in winter!

I've heard so, so much about this but I'm so lazy when it comes to body lotion that it would be lost on me! It's one of those things I have on my list of "things to get better at", but I don't know if I'll ever get there!
