The Daily Beauty Report (29.05.14)

One more day until the weekend (can you tell it has been a long week?) but until then I present lots of new beauty news snippets!

I was secretly hoping this was a female launch as the packaging looks so crisp and fresh, not to mention perfect for the summer but alas it is for males! "L'Occitane has announced the launch of Mer & Mistral, a new fragrance gift set for Father's Day. The fresh and contemporary scent opens with notes of citrus fruits, followed by cypress and pine in the heart before settling into a woody base. The gift set includes Mer & Mistral Eau de Toilette (75ml), Mer & Mistral After-shave Fluid (75ml) and Mer & Mistral Fresh Shower Gel (175ml)." This will launch on the 5th of June.

This coming July Max Factor will launch of Clump Defy Extensions (£10.99) - a new 3-in-1 Mascara. Containing the Clump Defy Anti-Clumps brush with a lengthening formula and intense carbon black fibres, the product adds both volume and length without clumping the lashes.

I don't often feature Olay but should really pay more attention as both my mother and grandmother swear by the brand. "Skincare brand Olay has collaborated with jewellery designer Daisy Knights to launch a new limited edition package design for the Glow Perfecters collection. Inspired by the Caribbean, products packaged with the Daisy Knights design include: Multi-radiance, BB Cream, Everyday Sunshine gradual build tanner and Day Cream." The glow perfecter range does sound right up my alley!

If you are looking for a new skin care brand to try out this may be of interest? "Skincare brand Ruby Red has introduced three new products to its urban apothecary range. New Revive and Repair Hydrating Body Moisturiser, enriched with vitamin C and six nourishing plant oils, contains notes of lime, red mandarin, cedarwood and coriander. Floral Soothe and Gentle Body Cleanser and Floral Soothe and Nourish Body Moisturiser include notes of jasmine, cardamom and ylang ylang. The cleanser has the same formula as the original Body Cleanser, forming a gel with plant-based ingredients and aloe leaf extract; while the moisturiser contains vitamin B to smooth and even out skin tone. Each product is available in a 100ml travel size, and will be available as part of a travel set. The products are available online now and launching into stores in June."

On the 1st of July and for £3.99 each Pantene will launch - Pantene Pro-VDry Shampoo. The dry shampoo uses brand new and advanced Oil Absorber Technology which contains tapioca starch to absorb excess oils, dirt and grease on the hair. Products are gentle and suitable for all hair types, including colour-treated hair. The dry shampoos are available in three variations including: Refresh, to refresh in-between washes to give hair a clean and refreshed feel; Volume Booster, which revives hair with added volume; and Colour Saviour, to build shine back into colour-treated hair while dry cleaning and providing healthy looking radiance. I for one can't wait as I am forever trying to find my perfect dry shampoo.

Lastly two new palettes from Too Faced are set to launch soon both based on musical genres. One channels Nashville to create the Country palette which features a medley of light, soft and easy to wear shades for the eyes and cheeks. Slightly more gritty is the Rock n Roll palette with deeper, smoky eyeshadows. Is it greedy to want both (yes it is)?

Have a lovely evening!
