Monthly Favourites March 2014

Well we are now into April and for me that means two things: in a matter of days I am one year older and The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug comes out on DVD/Blu-ray. No guesses to what I am more thrilled about (a clue? it doesn't involve cake). Before I profess my deep love for J.R.R. Tolkien let me share my beauty favourites for the last month.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh has been my go to fragrance, it is light, crisp and floral with a slight hint of violet that really works now that we are officially into Spring and can shed a few layers of clothing. Despite not being an eau de parfum the lasting power of this scent is phenomenal without being overwhelming. I highly suggest you check it out. You can find Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh via Debenhams - link.

I haven't really had a foundation favourite this month but rather found myself flitting in and out various formula's from CC creams to full coverage offerings. I have however pretty much used NARS Creamy Concealer in Custard on a daily basis and wouldn't be without it. A light and of course creamy high coverage product that wears well and doesn't crease. If you haven't tried it out yet it really should be your next NARS purchase, find it here via Space.NK - link. My other go to face products have been Illamasqua's Tremble Blush - an almost neon pink tinged coral that gives the skin a Californian beach glow that would make Jennifer Aniston proud. Find it here - link. MAC's Prep and Prime CC Powder in Neutralize is my current go to - it puts my trusty Ben Nye Banana Powder to shame that's for sure. Not only does this light yellow loose powder brighten my skin but it easily rids it of any red tones and has a blurring effect that gives the illusion of smaller pores. I'm utterly hooked. Find it here - link.

A few more slightly typical make-up choices from me but ones you simply must check out next time you are in Boots or Superdrug. First up we have my current go to eyeshadow base which is Maybelline Color 24HR Tattoo in On and On Bronze which at £4.99 find it here - link  gives my MAC paint pots a run for their money! This bronzey but cool toned hue works with 90% of my eye make-up choices, provides a crease free base and can be worn alone. Easily Maybelline's best product. My new favourite mascara has to be L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara- link, yes the brush is a weird shape but it gives endless black lashes that don't look crispy and clumpy a.k.a spider lashes and it doesn't flake throughout the day. Worth the hype 100%.
