The Daily Beauty Report (04.03.14)

Here is what is going on in the beauty world today...

Jessica Alba has been named the face of Braun beauty and will feature in adverts in both digital and print form.

Today I recieved an email inviting me to a Playboy Cosmetics launch in the near future which of course means that the cosmetic line is planning a come back. I'm not really sure who it will appeal to as truthfully the days of seeing young girls with Playboy merchandise has long passed - I think the demise of the TV show Girls Next Door is partly to blame. Anyway the above image is of the old line so I am somewhat eager to see what the future holds.

Joan Collins is set to launch her very own cosmetic line via QVC which is expansive and every bit as glamorous as she is. It somewhat reminds of something Estee Lauder or Elizabeth Arden would produce. "Inspirational skincare, cosmetics and fragrance from the glamorous Hollywood icon known for her style, spirit and timeless beauty, who believes that looking good and feeling great is the right of every woman no matter what her age." You can currently pre-order the range - link.

If you are jetting off any time soon keep an eye out for the new and travel exclusive Estee Lauder Travel Exclusive Luxuries sets, two six pan palettes one featuring lip shades and the other eyeshadows. Someone book me a holiday stat.

Anna Sui will be taking her best selling fragrances (Secret Wish, Fairy Dance, Flight of Fancy and Forbidden Affair.) and popped them into cute little collectable tin houses. From what I have read they are limited edition so if you see them in-store I suggest you pounce.

Looking to channel your inner Katy Perry especially in her new Dark Horse video well look no further than the Smashbox Santigolden Age Collection which is collaboration with musician Santigold. Think crazy coloured eyeshadow palettes, duo ended eyeliners and all that is in-between. Wow.
