I was kindly gifted a few pieces from Bobbi Brown's Nectar and Nude Collection but having seen the full collection in person it really is only a matter of time before I hit my local counter and purchase the rest.
Sorry not sorry...
Despite not being your typical nail polish fan I have fallen hard for the two shades within the Nectar and Nude collection: Nectar - a bright orange toned coral crème that reminds me of a deeper, easier to apply Chanel Orange Fizz. Two quick drying coats and you are good to go. What is even odder is that Bobbi Brown has me happily wearing glitter polish long after Christmas has passed! One glance of Bobbi Brown's Bare Peach Nail Polish and I was hooked. Debenhams describe it as a peach bellini for the nails and I couldn't agree more. Sparkly, yes? But in a grown up way that is glamorous not tacky. Unsurprisingly it layers beautifully over Nectar.
The other item from the Bobbi Brown Nectar and Nude Collection I have been testing is the Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Nude Pink. Typically speaking I am a lipstick gal with the exception of NARS' Turkish Delight Lip Gloss. Well Nude Pink is not worlds apart from the NARS shade only it is shimmer based, a little more pigmented and less sticky. Nude Pink is one of the few nude come milky toned shades that won't look ghastly on a medium complexion nor will it be too pigmented for fairer skin tones. Personally I like to wear this kind of shade (a pink based nude) over deeper brown lipsticks to par them down. The formula works well teamed with a matte lipstick for a little extra moisture.
You can shop the entire Bobbi Brown Nectar and Nude Collection via Debenhams - link.
