As you may have noticed by now there has been several new Barry M launches from new pastel Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints, an aquarium collection and even a pastel make-up palette but slipping under the radar is two new matte lip paints which are very wearable and a snip at just £4.49 each.
The two new shades are Shade L164 Everything's Rosie which is a mid toned, dusky rose with a cool blue undertone which will prevent teeth from looking yellow. It is one of those shades that will suit just about everyone and every make up look. It reminds me a little of Bobbi Brown's Matte Creamy Lip Colour in True Pink. The other option is Shade L165 Just Peachy which is again muted and not totally a peach hue, it is a mix of peach and nude and oddly again veers slightly dusky. If you like medium toned nude peach lipsticks you will be a fan of this, the closest dupe I can think of is Bobbi Brown's Matte Creamy Lip Colour in Pale Peach.
Truthfully the Barry M Matte Lip Paint formula is not a true matte, I would deem it to be more of a satin finish as it has a slight sheen to it. Both are very pigmented but they do have a slight tendency to pull at the lips when applying and as with the majority of Barry M Lip Paints this particular duo are somewhat drying and prone to clinging to dry areas. If you apply a balm before application you basically eradicate both problems but on the plus side as it is a clingy formula you can easily achieve three hours per application.
You can find the two new Barry M Matte Lip Paints via Barry M for £4.49 each - link and find them in selected Superdrug and Boots stores.
