Mario Badescu Glycolic Gel

I am a Mario Badescu skin care fan like you wouldn't believe and use a number of the brands skin care products daily (hey if it is good enough for Jennifer Aniston) but I don't give the brand enough love on this blog. If you suffer from congested, oily skin and/or acne scarring do I have the product for you...

"Problem, congested, oily or discoloured skin will be noticeably brighter, scars lightened and the amount of blackheads minimized with regular use of this potent, oil-free gel. Formulated with a combination of Glycolic Acid and Alpha Hydroxy Acids, this gel softens fine lines and wrinkles."

Mario Badescu Glycolic Gel is a light textured liquid which you apply twice a week to deeply exfoliate the skin without being abrasive. You simply apply the gel which is cooling (it doesn't personally sting my skin which can run a little sensitive but some have said it tingles) and quickly absorbed into the skin twice a week at night. The gel then goes to work exfoliating the skin, de-clogging the pores, brightening the skin and over time reducing acne scarring along with fine lines and wrinkles.

I am now on my second bottle of Mario Badescu Glycolic Gel which is a testament to the formulation as I normally give up on products half way through the course of use (impatience at its finest). Does it brighten the skin? Absolutely as well as leaving my face super soft - the de-congesting element I'm not too sure but then again I am beyond oily and perhaps past saving in that aspect. I'm still a little young for wrinkles and fine lines so I can't vouch for that either but the acne scarring element absolutely. As someone who's skin scars fairly easily this has been a saviour, after using it for close to half a year my older scarring still has a long way to go but that is always the case but newly formed scarring doesn't linger around which is always a good thing.

One thing that the gel doesn't claim to do and should is treat milia. I tend to only use the Mario Badescu Glycolic Gel on my entire face once a week but use it on my forehead (where my milia tends to form) up to three times per week when needed and I find that it helps not only rid the existing bumps but also prevents future milila spots from forming and is the main reason I use this gel.
