La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus

You've read all the glowing reviews of La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo and maybe even tried it out for yourself? Well get ready for the supped up version, a 2.0 if you will - La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus is of course a continuation of the original formula but improved. Much like the original the light textured serum come gel fluid that is both cooling and soothing on the skin. Although I tend to use the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo in the evening it is more than suitable to use before make-up as it leaves no trace of product behind and does provide a smooth matte canvas.

So what does La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus do? Well much like the original it helps to prevent blemishes as well as healing existing breakouts, combats redness, minimises the chance of blackheads as well as offering oil control but the Plus version has been formulated to reduce red marks and scarring that blemishes can leave behind which in my opinion is its biggest selling point. My skin reacts well to the now cult La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo - in that it quickly reduces any existing blemishes which I more often than not depend on it for. However I have a skin type or should that be texture that scars rather easily so this suits me to a tee.

The revamped formula contains the wonder ingredient Procerad, which is a patented ceramide (a moisture-capturing lipid). Procerad has been included to aid the rebuild of the skin’s surface and of course as I aforementioned to reduce the appearance of scarring be it old or new. Although La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus works almost immediately when it comes to blemish and oil control you will have to stick with it for at least a month to see any signs in reduction when it comes to scarring. I have been using it for close to a month now and can truthfully say that no new blemishes have left behind a scar which I do credit La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus but older scars have yet to subside. I have seen a slight reduction in redness with some of my more angry looking scarring but I'm afraid at the moment persistence is key. I will of course report back in a few months but if you have experienced issues with blemishes scarring in the past then La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus is definitely the way to go.
