Glossybox January 2013 Review

Glossybox has been made over and instead of pink cardboard boxes housing the monthly treats this time we have a sugary pink glossy box. How apt! I do have to admit that I wasn't blown away with this months contents which have been selected to fit around a back to basics theme and here is why...

Simply put everything is a little bitty - there is no substantially sized products nor does anything blow me away. Here is what is inside:

Glossybox January 2013 Review

Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream (x2 3g) - On first inspection this appears to be an almost emollient type moisturiser but as soon as you apply it to the skin it has a typical cream like texture. What makes this slightly different from a usual moisturiser is that you can use it anywhere even your lips and a little does go a long way. It hasn't really done much for my skin but the idea is novel none the less.

Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash (50ml) - I am a huge fan of Balance Me there is not a product by this organic brand I do not adore and their body wash is no different. I will be truthful and say that I have not experienced any toning qualities but it does smell divine - fruity yet warm. Perfect for an evening shower.

Vaseline Essential Moisture Clean Feeling Lotion (50ml) - Again Vaseline is a brand I rather enjoy and although there is nothing wrong with this body lotion I simply prefer the spray and go formulas. Sure this feels light on the skin and if perfect for those who don't like heavy body creams but for me I simply prefer the convenience of the spray method.

The Vintage Company Tweezers - Dinky but perfectly formed slanted tweezers with a pretty floral pattern. I like how sharp the ends are as it means you can really pluck those pesky small hairs with minimal pain. My favourite item in the box.

Anatomicals Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake Up Under Eye Patches - Holy moly that is a long title. Basically this is collagen enriched under eye patches that soothe and hydrate the delicate skin all the while helping to de-puff the area. In a nut shell they do feel lovely on the eyes but didn't really do much else in my case.
