You may recall not so long ago that I complained (what's new there) of an itchy scalp and stated that I have found sulphate and paraben free formulas to be somewhat more calming to my scalp?
Well that is still very much the case but it is easier said than done to find hair styling or oil products of such kind on the high street so imagine my excitement when I discovered L'Oreal Ever Riche Oil Precieux .
In its simplest form L'Oreal Ever Riche Oil Precieux is a spray on hair oil that can be used on both dry and wet hair for added nourishment. It has been specifically created for dry hair types and formulated using botanical ingredients for added shine and softness. However I find it to much more than that and consider it to be a great alternative to the likes of pricey Moroccan Oil.
First of all the fine mist nozzle is not to be over looked, I have lost count to how many times I have purchased a hair care product only to have my hair drenched in product when attempting to apply it. A trivial point for some but when it comes to hair oil less is more and this has one of the finest mists I have encountered in quite some while. The oil itself is light weight yet I don't fully recommend it for use on dry hair as it can leave hair looking a little greasy and lank. For best results I have found that applying it to the mid lengths of towel dried hair before combing to work best. The oil texture helps the comb easily glide through the hair, adding a little resistance to prevent breakage and of course nourishment to fragile hair.
Oh but there is more if you choose not to dry your hair with heat and have curly or wavy hair the oil helps in my opinion to define such curls and waves. On straight hair my sister found it to help control frizz and static hairs. Should you choose to blow dry your hair you are left with softer than soft hair, that has a glorious sheen and is close as I have managed to achieving a salon blow dry at home. I know it sounds like I am over selling L'Oreal Ever Riche Oil Precieux but it really is one of the best high street hair oils I have found!
L'Oreal Ever Riche Oil Precieux £11.99/150ml* (I can't seem to find it online as of yet)

I absolutely LOVE this oil! It's been so good at taming and softening my hair - much better than frizz ease in my opinion! I've actually just given this a quick review over on my blog, along with the Nourishing & Flowing shampoo and conditioner in the range (: http://madeleineslittleblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/loreal-hair-expert-ever-riche-review.html xx

Love the sound of this! I'm currently still in that glorious phase of motherhood where your hair falls out, so I'm trying to protect, strengthen and thicken what hair I have and new hair coming through...

I love the idea of a spray-on oil, my Tresemme one has a pump and I just don't think my hands distribute it evenly :(

OTHEALITY
I looked for this last night, no joy! Why oh why.. just as the weather plays havoc with my skin and hair! x
ReplyDeleteSince my hair is really prone to oiliness, I avoid any hair oil except for pre-shampoo treatment with pure primrose oil.
