Gift Idea: Michael Kors Holiday Nail Lacquer Set

If you know a nail polish addict then I have the perfect gift for you - three beautiful metallic polishes that ooze luxury and couldn't be more fitting for the festive period. I'm not going to begin to pretend that the Michael Kors Holiday Nail Lacquer Set is a stocking stuffer because at £36 for the trio it's not but I do think it would be a wonderful gift for beauty addicts that perhaps enjoy the finer things in life.

The Michael Kors Holiday Nail Lacquer Set contains three limited edition shades: Superstar - a deep red tinged bronze that really compliments a lighter skin tone but is flattering on all. Rock Star - this is such a complex shade, is it green? Is it grey or is it gold? The answer is a combination of all three and in my opinion the stand out shade. I own nothing at all like it. Lastly we have Runway Star - which is a pale, soft metallic gold which is universally flattering and of course the easiest to dupe but a great addition to any nail stash.

Michael Kors polishes in general are quite the sight to behold - chunky square bottles which feature large golden caps. The lids which somewhat remind me of solid gold bars remove to reveal smaller white caps underneath for ease of application. At £36 which works out £12 per nail polish you expect a certain level of quality and I am happy to say it is delivered. The brush is wide but somewhat tear drop shaped so it quickly and easily coats each nail and the formulation is thick so each shade is opaque in two coats and dries quickly too.

Michael Kors Holiday Nail Lacquer Set* is exclusive to the House of Fraser(not online as of yet) and Arnott's Dublin and costs £32.

  7. The rose gold colour is so beautiful! I'm not usually into foils cause they show up smudges so easily but these are seriously tempting me.
