Yankee Vanilla Chai Candle

Every now and then I purchase a candle online, it arrives and the scent is just not for me. Hey it happens but I can't help but be a little disappointed especially if on paper it sounds perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon or two. For me Yankee Vanilla Chai Candle is the first fragrance in a long time I simply couldn't get on board with.

"It's the perfect accompaniment to "me" time - a supremely satisfyingly rich and spicy recipe of ginger, cinnamon and vanilla."

Typically I don't purchase spice based scents but I was hoping that the Vanilla in the line up would have softened the fragrance and would make for a mellow scent with a slight kick that would perhaps mimic the scent of Autumn. Yes I live in a dream world. In my opinion this candle or fragrance is most definitely ginger based - I'm not disputing the other notes but ginger is what prevails. If you like such note you are on to a winner as it can be both warm and inviting but otherwise I say skip. In my opinion Yankee's Chamomile Tea scent is more fitting if you are looking for a soft, mellow yet warming scent to accompany a book, a cuppa and a biscuit or two.
