The Itch Factor

Melvita Purifying Deodorant

Deodorant isn't something I often write about purely because it is not at all an exciting beauty item but as someone who is oddly allergic to 99.9% of deodorants you can image how elated I am to stumble across one that doesn't make me itch. Step up Melvita Purifying Deodorant.

Within the first 5 minutes of applying a deodorant I can tell if we will be friends or not - if not a nasty, angry looking red eczema like rash appears which as you can imagine is far from fun and it does make me hesitant to try anything new. Luckily the Melvita Purifying Deodorant is one of the few formulas that agree's with my skin - it is cooling, beautifully fragranced via essential oils and does the job nicely of keeping me daisy fresh all day long. Melvita Purifying Roll-On Deodorant offers a powerful combination of natural active ingredients to neutralise body odours without blocking the perspiration system which could be why other formulations irritate my skin? It is also free from parabens, aluminium chlorohydrate and alcohol.

I should mention that the Melvita Purifying Roll-On Deodorant is not an antiperspirant formula therefore it will not prevent you from sweating but rather keeps the underarm fragrantly fresh. For personal reason I have given up on antiperspirant's as they can block the pores etc and as I don't tend to sweat unless at the gym I can get away with it but others in a more warm climate than Scotland or a more energetic vocation than I may need something else more powerful. However for those like myself with itchy pits (eww) this is a god send trust me!

  2. I loooove Madara Ecodeo! Many deodorants give my a rash as well, Madara has worked well for years. Smells nice, dries quickly, doesn't stain dark clothes and the bottle is lovely. Gotta try Melvita as well!
