As you may or may not be aware Michael Kors beauty has finally hit the UK and my goodness is it a collection you just want to sink your teeth into. It is all the things we know and love from the Kors brand - classy, luxurious yet well priced and effortlessly glam not to mention clever. Yes really! Michael Kors has split his entire beauty range into three sections - Sexy, Sporty and Glam. Each segment not only has beauty products such as lipglosses, bronzers, nail polishes and all you could possibly need to groom yourself to perfection but each category has a matching scent too. Like I said very clever and dare I say it matchy matchy in a grown up sense too.
I have been fortunate enough to try out two of the new Michael Kors fragrances (I've also tested the other in-store and it is beautiful) and I have to say I think most will be hard pushed to say that they do not like at least one of the offerings. Michael Kors Sexy is the beauty collection full of pinks, reds that veers slightly girlie but the perfume for this mini collective has to be my favourite - Michael Kors Sexy Amber. Of course this is an Amber based fragrance that contains slight hints of sandalwood and white flowers, it is warm and very sexy. I would say that if you are a fan of Chanel Allure you will adore this too. In my opinion it is a great Autumn/Winter scent that wears well and is effortlessly sexy to boot.
The other Kors Eau de Parfum I have been putting through its paces is Sporty Citrus which is the fragrance to the Kors Sporty beauty range - think tanned, nudes and summer - lots of bronze hues and pale lips and unsurprisingly my favourite in terms of the make-up products. The scent that has been created to compliment such cosmetics is Kors Sporty Citrus which oddly isn't all that citrus. Rather when I first spray it on it reminds me of Theirry Mugler's Angel fragrance and yet when it settles it is more of a white, musky floral with a zesty kick. It is so different from anything else I own and so difficult to place. One thing is for sure is that it is easy to wear and very clean in terms of scent. Best summed up? An original everyday scent that is sure to garner a compliment or three.
Although I don't have the Michael Kors Glam Eau de Parfum (Santa if you are reading...hint hint) I can vouch that it perfectly embodies the glam tag. It is a truly divine light floral that layers or should that be mixes well with the other fragrances - all three have been created to be worn alone or blended together for a custom blend.
You can find the Michael Kors Eau de Parfume's* and cosmetics for that matter via House of Fraser - link
prices for the fragrances begin at £55/30ml.
