Having being blessed (ha!) with bucket like pores I will try anything that promises to minimise or disguise pores and the newest product for pesky enlarged pores is Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer. What intrigued me most about the Flawless Poreless Primer is that it is a balm based product which is relatively rare - most primers of this category tend to be more of a thick gel like liquid. The packaging is somewhat funky and very much what we have come to expect from the Boots Seventeen brand which is aimed at the teen market. My only complaint would be that for what is a fairly sizeable case it is really odd that it has no mirror? Bizarre.

As mentioned this is a balm like product that is fairly solid in texture until warmed and applied by the fingertips. The concept of Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer is to provide a silky, flawless base with somewhat disguised pores perfect for foundation and other facial products to be applied on top off. Best described this is a solid version of Benefit's Porefessional and a cheaper alternative to Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch primer only the Seventeen version isn't quite as refined. Yes it will provide a smoother than usual canvas but it doesn't quite have the air brushing properties that the Clarins primer does. However it does somewhat blur the appearance of enlarged pores, leaves the skin feeling softer and helps prolong the wear of any product applied on top. Despite having a light pink colour in pan form once applied to the skin it becomes completely transparent and therefore is suitable for all skin tones,

Like I said above this reminds me a little of Benefit's Porefessional Primer in that it is a silicone based product that not only somewhat blurs and diffuses minor skin faults but it can also instantly mattify any oily areas of the face when applied on top of make-up. If you have sensitive skin or a silicone allergy I say avoid as it is a fairly heavy facial product that at times did make my skin feel a little comfortable and despite having a mattifying effect at times I have found it to encourage my skin to produce excess oil which is never a desired effect. For that reason I would deem this to be a better fit for those with normal or dry skin but for change of £6 it is a relatively good product and a welcome addition to the UK high street.
