If you are a fan of L'Occitane's Shea Butter formulation and let's face it who isn't then you are in for a pleasant surprise as three new limited edition fragrances are coming your way this coming October.
"Shea Butter is an ideal beauty ingredient which has been used for centuries by women in Sub-saharan Africa to nourish and protect their skin and hair. L'OCCITANE uses shea butter from Burkina Faso, harvested in a sustainable and fair trade partnership with the women who produce it. Our collection includes shea butter hand cream, bath, lip balm and shower gel."
Shea Butter is gentle but effective not to mention suitable for all the family and has a multitude of uses. I am allergic to Cocoa Butter which so many other brands use as their main moisturising ingredient so I do tend to stick with L'Occitane as their preference lies within shea butter. If you have sensitive skin I would suggest skipping the limited edition fragrances and going for the normal Shea Butter which has its own natural creamy fresh scent.
The three new fragrances are: Subtle Violet which is a light floral fragrance, it does smell typically "violet" but in a subtle way as the name indicates. Rose fans may enjoy Rose Tenderness which is a typical rose scent without a hint of that powder type note that some rose fragrances have. Last but not least we have my personal favourite Passionate Jasmine which is a bright some what fruity floral that works particularly well in lip balm form.
As mentioned above the L'Occitane Shea Butter range is fairly vast - I have not personally tried out the shower gel but it is on my to do list. The lip balm is my top recommendation it is light but thoroughly nourishing with a light glossy sheen that works well layered over lip product. The hand cream regardless of the fragrance is perhaps the most revered product from L'Occitane it nourishes, moisturises and soothes without leaving behind any form of residue much like the body creams within the range.
Keep an eye out for the new fragrances and funky almost tie dye packaging hitting L'Occitane stockists this coming October.
