The concept behind this collective is that the Autumn collective is bright, bold and unexpected amongst the typical deeper, earthen tones that we have come to expect from other brands. Each shade is a statement colour that has been designed to be worn alone or with as many other shades from the Colour Clash line up as you can handle. To intensify the shade Butter London have launched Cotton Buds which is intended to be worn under any Butter London polish to up the colour stakes but can also be worn alone for a chic white manicure. Butter London nail polishes feature a “3-Free” formula - free from Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP.

The shades are as follows:

Cake-Hole: Nearly neon pink - this has an almost matte finish and does require either two coats or the white base coat for best results. Truthfully the formula is a little streaky and one I feel would benefit from a glossy top coat.

Cotton Buds: Pure white - the most intense perfect white cream polish, it has a lovely thick texture that is opaque in one quick coat and dries quickly. The white polish dreams are made of.

Giddy Kipper: Indigo shimmer - a deep almost denim blue with a slight silver sheen, applies well almost opaque in two coats but in my opinion the shade is a little off.

Pimms: Sunflower yellow - the yellow version of Cotton Buds, if you purchase one yellow polish let it be this.

Silly Billy: Fire orange - a highly glossy orange that isn't the most original of shades and for best results you do need a white base coat otherwise you are looking at three coats.

Wellies: Grass green - a beautiful chartreuse green that is opaque in one coat, a funky shade that applies beautifully.

In my opinion the Butter London Colour Clash Collection is a little hit and miss, three out of the six shades are truly astounding and the others are a little meh. However the white "Cotton Buds" is easily the best white polish I have ever come across and one I can not recommend it highly enough.
