Is it sad that I am planning a trip to London purely to stock up on Victoria's Secret Love Spell goodies?
No probably not but it is extremely lame that I am counting down the days until I can chomp on a Five Guys Burger and Fries...oh holy moly are they amazing. You should probably note that they are so good that the mere mention of such burger chain normally (okay always) results in Homer Simpson style salivating noises.

Anyway you came here for a review on the beautiful Love Spell scent and that is what you shall get.
First of all if you don't have a tendency to reach for sweet and by that I mean sugary sweet "rot the teeth in your mouth" sweet this is not for you. Victoria's Sceret Love Spell is listed as a mix of Peach and Cherry Blossom but neither note truly prevails. To me it smells how it looks and perhaps how you'd expect the likes of Vera Wang Princess to be. Yep purple! Isn't it funny how certain colours instantly give the impression of a certain scent which more often than not turns out to be wrong, well not in the case of Love Spell. To my nose Victoria's Secret Love Spell is a true "purple" fragrance and reminds me of fruity summer berries and oddly grape. Now bear with me when I say that it almost has a fizzy (in a carbonated sense) element too, it shouldn't work but it does.

There is a reason why Love Spell is one of Victoria's Secret's oldest yet well loved and best selling to boot offerings and that is because despite what the above paragraph may suggest it is truly one of the most feminine and utter delightfully fragrances I have ever worn. I'm sure most will agree it has a certain whimsical element too. Couple that with the fact a little goes a long way (I wish someone had told me before I bought the entire line) so much so that the fragrance mist is pretty strong on its own which is rare for a body spray of this type. Is it long lasting? No but it is cheap, cheerful and who ever said you could have it all anyway?

UK readers can find Victoria's Secret Love Spell products in various locations including London, Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds (the latter three have supposedly opened but I have seen no buzz whatsoever and living in Glasgow I can't comment.)
US readers can find the products here - link
