If you are ever able to purchase Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette do it, I promise you won't regret and for change of £5 (when bought in the U.S etc) it may well be the best pocket change you ever spend.
Eight pretty suit all neutral shades with a winning formula what is not to love!
I don't want to dwell too much about Wet n Wild's palette packaging as there is not all that much I can say - yes it does look and feel fairly cheap but as a budget brand you do have to skimp somewhere and I'd rather they did on aesthetics rather than the quality of product. One thing I must add is that over the years I have found Wet n Wild's palettes to be rather flimsy which when coupled with soft eyeshadows never bodes all that well with many a shade shattering in transit. If you purchase a Wet n Wild palette while on your travels be sure to wrap it up in a towel or some sort of thick padding material to hopefully get it home in one piece.
The great thing about the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette is that it is not limited edition and in my experience fairly easy to find in drug stores (Walmart, CVS, Ulta) and also the likes of Amazon and eBay. Availability aside just look at those beautiful shades from an assortment of varying browns to a light olive green this little kit has it all. There is even a pretty convincing dupe for MAC Club and MAC Beauty Marked...okay they are not exact but for the price they are close enough not to mention the formula and pigmentation is truly spectacular. What I also enjoy about all Wet n Wild palettes is that should you flip the compact onto its rear there is a mini step by step guide on how to create a few quick and easy looks, with each eyeshadow being embossed with the suggested use. You can of course use them in any way you see fit but for beginners I can see that being a huge selling point.
Wet 'n' Wild palettes can be a little hit and miss with some shades being either excellent or really poor in terms of colour pay off and formula but luckily the Comfort Zone palette is a rarity in that all the shades are superb. However to elaborate a little further generally speaking the metallic shades are often the best, they glide on with ease, provide high pigment and wear well - typically around 6-8 hours depending if primer is used or not.Yet the matte or glitter shades can tend to be rather poorly pigmented and apply on the patchy side nor do they fair as well in wear time either around 4 hours of wear before faltering.
However as the Comfort Zone palette is all metallic based shades you are greeted with a formula that is butter soft and fairly easy to apply and blend out, I really can't stress enough how important I have found a good primer the key to making said shades work for me, without the eyeshadows tend to crease and disappear on my oily lids. Generally speaking for a budget brand the product is a good buy and a nice way to add a few new shades to your stash without breaking the bank.
Such gorgeous shades!

Beautiful! Looks like the perfect palette for fall :) x.
ReplyDeleteI picked one up on ebay from a uk seller for about £8 inc postage. The colours are great but they're so frosty on me I can easily end up like a 80's throw back. Shimmer shimmer. x
ReplyDeleteThis looks stunning!! I've been wanting it for ages, but it ends up being quite a bit because of shipping to Australia :(
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to receive this in a swap and love it too! :) I've been applying a small amout of the bronze colour tattoo underneath and they don't shift! Xx
ReplyDeletePigmentation looks amazing! Love the idea of saying what each colour is for, although knowing me I'd probably use them all for different things! Great for a beginner too :)

As an American girl who's always loved makeup I can say that the quality of wet n' wild has gotten SO MUCH BETTER! When I was young and it was all I could get (because I didn't make money to spend on makeup) the quality was really awful. Now its a drugstore brand ppl love! If you ever want to pick up more my personal suggestion is Walking on Eggshells which is a trio and has a dupe for Mac's naked lunch. I actually like it a lot better as far as consistency and color pay off!

Oh. My. Word. I must have this palette in my life! I love all of the colours, your photos are brilliant as always, I just need to find a reason to fly over to America and go drugstore shopping, haha. I like how each shade has a description on it, eg 'crease', as I'm not the best with shading my eyes so that's handy to have. I wish we had Wet n Wild in the UK... I'm sure we used to many years ago?! Maybe I'm imagining it but I'm sure Superdrug used to sell some of their products? Perhaps that's just wishful thinking. Hmm. xx

This looks like a perfect palette! It has perfect shades and they look so pigmented! Unfortunately they will probably crease on my lids as they are super oily, bummer xx
