Rituals Laughing Buddha Collection

Rituals Laughing Buddha Collection

One of my favourite bath and body stops has to be Rituals which is fairly annoying as the only store in Glasgow happens to be in Glasgow Airport Duty Free so unless I'm jetting off which doesn't happen all that often I don't get to stock up on goodies. Of course Rituals do have an online store but I like to smell and get a feel of products before purchasing them so online isn't always best unless it is a repurchase for me.

However I did get to visit just over a fortnight ago and I did not leave empty handed or disappointed for that matter. Newly launched is the Laughing Buddha collective which is as cheery and uplifting as the title suggests.

"In ancient China Laughing Buddha was a famous monk. With his legendary smile he brought happiness and fortune wherever he went. For centuries the ritual of rubbing his belly became a symbol for good luck and prosperity. He inspired us bringing you these products filled with optimism, bringing good luck and happiness in your daily life."

The Rituals Laughing Buddha includes all you could need and more to turn your bathroom and bedroom for that matter a place of inspiration with this bright, sunny summer perfect scent. Depending on the product you purchase the scent does different ever so slightly but rest assure each item is indeed citrus based...you wouldn't expect anything less now would you? Sadly the Glasgow store wasn't all that well stocked so I only managed to pick up two of the items on my hit list but luckily they have been nothing but outstanding!

Firstly we have the Happy Buddha Shower Foam - I adore Rituals Shower Foam's they lather up beautifully producing a gentle but luxurious foam that softens and cleanses in one step not to mention one can lasts forever and a day. I've lost count to how many cans of the Yoga Flow variety I have went through in the last few years. The Happy Buddha scent is based on Organic Mandarin and Yuzu - the mandarin prevails but it is not sickly sweet, think a refined citrus offering such as the original DKNY scent and you will be on the same page.

The other product I purchase is indeed another shower offering but this time around it is a shower oil - if like myself you are less than vigilant when it comes to moisturising the skin on your body then you need a shower oil. Okay a shower oil won't nourish the skin quite like a good body butter or what have you will but when in a rush it does add a quick barrier of hydration and can prevent the skin from drying out. Rituals Fortune Oil Caring Shower Oil is a light but deeply moisturising shower product that doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy or tacky. The scent of the Fortune Oil is slightly different from the Happy Buddha products in my opinion it is slightly more spice based and I predict it to be the perfect product for a pick me up on a chilly winters morning. In my opinion the scent is very similar to spiced cinnamon and orange tea - warming but citrus based at the same time.

Citrus fans everywhere this collection is for you!

P.S I know the statues in my photos are not Buddha's and mean no offence by including them.

Random Fact - It is estimated that there is over 360 million Buddhists world wide - famous Buddhists include Tina Turner, Tiger Woods and Orlando Bloom.
