If you are looking for the perfect peachy-pink blush or lip colour look no further, not only is Illamasqua Androgen Cream Pigment the most beautiful light pink shade but it is multi-purpose meaning you can use it on your lips, cheeks and eyes! Talk about bang for your buck!
By now most will be familiar with Illamasqua's signature shape of packaging - I'm not sure of the technical term for such shape but to me it is a square which pinched sides. Distinctive and east to hold, a good size (most brushes can fit with ease) and constructed of sturdy plastic. My only grumble is that the lid isn't as secure as I'd like and it has popped off a few times while in my make-up.
Illamasqua list Androgen as a matte coral and I guess it could be deemed a coral shade but in my opinion it is a light yellow based pink that is closer to peach than it is to coral. The shade does remind me of both MAC Overtime Lipstick and YSL's Rouge Volumpte Lipstick in shade 2, however neither shade is a spot on dupe and don't truly double up as a matte, soft focus blush or an eyeshadow for that matter. Unsurprisingly being an Illamasqua creation this is intensely pigmented so a little goes a long way. Due to the yellow undertone this is a neutral shade that will suit most and truthfully I have yet to see a review of this shade on someone it does suit - from the lightest of skin tones to the deepest complexion it seems to be one of those rare universal hues.
You'd be forgiven for assuming that the Illamasqua Cream Pigments are difficult to blend out as in pan form the do appear to be rather firm. However they warm and soften with contact of the skin making your fingertips the perfect tool when applying to either the eyes or the cheeks, for the lips I recommend a lip brush for precision and control. Speaking of applying to the lips as this is a matte formula (more of a soft matte, than flat in appearance) it can be a little drying on the lips so you may want to apply a quick slick of lip balm when using this on the lips. On the cheeks and eyes this applies like a cream (of course) and feels light and non-sticky but it does quickly dry down to a powdery matte finish which when used with a primer will last all day even on the oiliest skins (like mine). Despite being a matte formula it does't have a completely flat finish rather it gives a soft focus finish that is perfect for those like myself with less than perfect skin as it doesn't settle into open pores of fine lines.
If you are a fan of pinky peach shades you need this shade...trust me!

I would love to give this a try. I wanted to get it when it was in the sale (along with many other things!) but I couldn't afford it so had to try and put it out of my mind (which I couldn't do, I still want it!) x

I really dislike creamy pigment products as I find them super hard to blend which is a shame as this shade is cute

I really do like this shade but think it might be a bit harsh on my super pale skin! But I'm going to have to test it out to see if it really is universal :-)
