The sun in blazing in the sky today so what better opportunity to dust off some summer appropriate products and put them to good use.

MAC Spring '13 Forecast Lip Palette
Annoyingly this palette was limited edition and has since gone from the MAC website but in my eyes there is no better array of shades for the summer. You can read my review and see the swatches here -link. Basically it is rare that I find a palette of any type and like every shade held within but that is the case with MAC Spring '13 Forecast Lip Palette, there is not one shade I dislike or don't use. I could kick myself for not purchasing a back up!

Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
I have been neglecting all my lip butter recently in favor of matte lipsticks which have totally dried my lips out, well done me! My favourite lip butter shade has to be Creme Brulee which admittedly may not be the prettiest shade to look (it took me a while to appreciate the shade) at but once it is slicked onto the lips it is a beautiful mid-toned nude that is jam packed with moisture and high sheen finish. I have plans to pick up a tube while visiting in a few weeks but can't find it online?

Tarte Amused Blush
Speaking of visiting the states I have plans to purchase a whole array of Tarte blushes, seriously their pigment and lasting power is second to none. It pains me that the brand has not made it to the UK yet! This week I have selected a bright pink blush in the form of Tart Amused which I am hoping will go well with a tan. If you ever get the chance to pick up a Tarte blush do it!

Clinique Superbalanced Bronzer
If you have oily skin this is the bronzer for you, nothing and I mean nothing in terms of bronzer lasts quite as well as Clinique Superbalanced Bronzer. For the last two summers this is the product I have been relying on to warm up my skin and as it is matte you can also use it to contour. I really must pick up the regular setting powder version from this range as the summer really does turn me into a walking oil slick!

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer
In my mind summer skin equates to fresh, luminous and almost dewy skin but with oily skin that is easier said than done. The one product that I have found that helps prolong make-up but also illuminates the skin for that healthy glow we all crave is L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer and if you are trying to keep your make-up bag light this can double up a liquid highlighter.

Now to put all these products to use.
