I confess I am a huge lover of neon nail polishes, nothing makes me more gleeful than the first sniff of warm weather so I can dust off my obnoxiously bright nail polishes and coat my digits in a shockingly bright hue.
If that sounds familiar then L'Oreal Color Riche's latest nail collection may grab your attention with four summer ready almost neon shades!
L'Oreal Color Riche in Acid Watermelon - A bright sugar pink, I guess this could be described as a brighter than bright Barbie Pink. I'm not one for pink nail polishes but I have to admit that is rather pretty, more so in real life! This shade required two coats to become opaque and has a high sheen finish.
L'Oreal Color Riche in Flashing Lilac - A bright orchid purple hue that reminds me a little of Illamasqua's Prosperity (Rubber Brights Collection) both in colour and finish. This shade is a little thin and required three coats to become opaque and is the least shiny in terms of finish.
L'Oreal Color Riche in Wasabi Hint - One of the prettiest green's I have seen in a long time, not quite mint, not quite lime and not quite neon but rather an easy to wear blend of all three. I absolutely adore this shade and the formula, two quick coats and you have glossy green nails to go!
L'Oreal Color Riche in Banana Pop - Yellow nail polishes can be difficult to wear but this bright yellow cream is bright enough to attention yet not overly so that it remains flattering. For a yellow nail polish the formula is nothing short of amazing, two coats provide a fully opaque finish that again has a light sheen. If you buy one yellow polish this summer let it be this one.
Okay the new L'Oreal Color Riche Neon Pop nail collection may not be you obvious neon offering but rather a grown up spin on bright shades that are still fun to wear and bang on trend for the upcoming summer. On the whole the Neon Pop collection polishes are well formulated and don't necessarily require a white base coat to make them pop - I do recommend it with Flashing Lilac to get the most from the colour. What I really like about L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Polishes is that they are pretty dinky so they are great for travel and the fine brush gives optimum control and ease of application, great if you aren't all that steady handed.
