Excuse the utterly cheesy pun but I think Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara is one to keep an eye out for.
This is the current drugstore/high street mascara that is taking the States and Canada by storm at the moment and right so too as the market has been crying out for a budget friendly lower lash mascara since Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara took the beauty world by storm.
As far as I have seen on American and Candian blogs Maybelline's Big Eyes Mascara is retailing for $11.99 which is around $4 more expensive than the typical Maybelline offering so I would expect if and when Maybelline Big Eyes hits the UK it would be around the £14 price bracket? However that is only speculation and even if it is around that price point I would happily hand over the cash as on the whole I do rate Maybelline's mascara's particularly their Volum' Express Colossal Mascara (the one in the yellow tube).
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara is an expansion on their Falsies line which admittedly I am not a fan of but I will be picking up a bottle when in the states to put it to the test none the less. Basically this is a duo ended mascara with two wands - one for upper lashes and one for the lower lashes. The formula has apparently been created to lengthen and thicken eyelashes all the while allowing you to properly coat both sets of eyelashes without routing around for two separate products.
I'm hopeful this will be great as it could be the answer to my morning rush prayers and I apologise for such a tease like post but I simply had to share!
What do you think?
Another gimmicky product to collect dust alongside all the BB Creams or a genius innovation?
Random Fact - Crayola is apparently a french term that means oily chalk!
This is such a good idea! I've not seen a mascara like this, I'd definitely buy it!

I do use a different mascara with a smaller brush for my lower lashes so I am looking forward to trying this one!
ReplyDeleteBut the Clinique one is only £11 so the maybelline would be more expensive and maybe not as good..... :s
ReplyDeleteThe price is just my guess due to the price difference based in the states so it could well be under £10 :) true but this has us basically two mascara's in one little gadget but who knows the quality might not be there.
DeleteI saw someone YouTube use it and was really intrigued. Hope Estonia gets it soon as I'd be really curious to try it out.

Oooh I hope this comes over here soon! xx
ReplyDeleteI'd be really interested to try this! Will definitely pick one up when it comes out over here xx
ReplyDeleteI just tried this mascara! I was so excited because I love Clinique bottom lash but it can get expensive to replace. The bottom lash wand is good on Big Eyes, but the formula smudges throughout the day. The upper lashes wand is horrible. The formula felt so wet that it weighed my lashes down and clumped them all together.
ReplyDeletethe bottom lash wand is good, but the other half didn't work for me. I think this is a start to something new at the drugstore, hopefully other brands will follow!
Such a brilliant idea - I adore the idea of a cheaper alternative to the Clinique option, it's definitely something I'm looking forward to buying!
ReplyDeleteI really need to try this!

This is a great idea, I hope it lives up to the hype it'll no doubt get! xx

Will definitely buy it! xx
ReplyDeleteI just use regular mascara on bottom lashes and it works just fine. The "special" "for bottom only" sounds kind of unnecessary...
ReplyDeleteI thought this too, but never really used mascara on my bottom lashes very often. It was only when I started doing so that I realised how long my bottom lashes were and the resulting smudgy mess that was my eyelids after only a few minutes. For those of us with this problem, bottom lash mascara has been a Godsend! x
DeleteBut then again bottom lash mascara from clinique is only £10 id rather stick to that if this is going to cost more money

need to try this!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cute idea! Can't wait to try :D Thanks!

Ooh I saw this on an American YouTubers video and ever since then I've been looking forward to trying it out. I'm hoping that it's good as I definitely want to give it a whirl when it gets to the UK! Hopefully it's soon :) xx
ReplyDeleteI think I'm having too much of a love affair with my Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara to switch it up, but this definitely is a viable option for those who don't want to fork out the £11 for a specialist product. x

so so excited for this, FINALLY! x

I would so buy this but Maybelline mascara's seem to make my eyelashes fall out if I use them often :( x
ReplyDeleteI think this is such a good idea! I hate how heavy normal mascara wands are for use on bottom lashes, and having both in one product is definitely a better idea! Cant wait!
