No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms

I've said it countless times but I am utterly over BB, CC Creams and all other gimmicky spin offs but excuse me while I eat my hat because Boots No7 have done just that - a gimmicky spin off of a BB Cream that I utterly adore. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to Boots No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms.

Do the No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms look familiar? Yep they remind me of Clarins Instant Light Lip Protectors too with their almost identical packaging. I'd say that the main difference is that the No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms don't have a foam applicator tip but have a molded angled plastic applicator. Truth be told the applicator makes next to no difference and it glides on with ease also without the foam padding getting in the way you can run an antibacterial wipe over the nozzle time to time.

I was rather shocked when I walked into Boots last week to check out the No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms and be greeted with a six shades to choose from, normally new launches from No7 consist of one or two shades not six! However with six shades comes choice and hopefully something for everyone be it taste and skint tone, in the end I went with two shades...comfort choices if you will.

Ballerina - This shade is fairly difficult to pin point, I'm not sure if I would deem it nude yet I wouldn't label it as a pink either. I guess it dances between the two shades and is best described as a dusky pink with slight brown leanings. However you describe Ballerina there is no escaping that it is the perfect go with everything shade and one everyone should have rolling around the bottom of their bag for those just in case moments.
This is also the shade that was harder to source, it was sold out in three out of the four Boots I visited.

Blush Coral - We all know how I love a good coral lip product or ten and No7's Blush Coral fits the bill nicely. Blush Coral is a bright yet light orange tinged coral - apricot if you will and is easily my favourite shade from the entire range. If you enjoy coral or peach lip products then I'd hot foot it along to your nearest Boots store and pick one of these up for yourself.

The No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms are essentially just tinted lip balms that have added UV protection, nothing new at all but the colour selection, hydration and the fact that they are not sticky do set them apart from other tinted balms. Are they out right dupes for the Clarins Instant Light Lip Protectors? No but you will be hard pushed to find anything that comes as close as the No7 BB Lips Beauty Balms do.
If you like a light glossy tint of colour with UV protection that is non-sticky and comfortable to wear look no further. I can safely say Blush Coral will be my go to quick lip fix this coming summer.
