Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer in Deep

By now most will have realised that I went a little head over heels for the recent Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection and ended up purchasing more than I planned to. However with it being a limited edition collection and with many items in the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection selling out almost instantly who can blame me? For the last two days I have been wearing Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer in Deep to fake the effect of being a little more tanned than usual.

I am a complete sucker for limited edition or special packaging,  I know deep down it means next to nothing but the prettier the better. Actually in the case of Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer the packaging is a little flimsy and my bronze did arrive broken. What I do have to commend Estee Lauder for is the quality of brush that comes free with the bronzer, unlike other freebies this is soft and a great size and shape for that matter. I particularly like using the brush tipped on its side for clean contouring.

Okay the packaging of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzers may not be the sturdiest but credit where credit is due the shade range is nothing short of amazing - with four bronze hues to suit all complexions. As this is a summer product I went for the darkest shade which is labelled deep as come a few sunny weekends and a trip or two abroad and my skin is nothing short of dark. In my opinion Deep will only be suited to those who have a medium deep to dark complexion as on any other skin tone it will simply look muddy, at the moment it is a little to dark for me but like I said this is a summer purchase for me.

I don't do shimmer based bronzers as they never look all that wonderful on my skin - a bronze highlighter sure why not but when it comes to bronzers I like them matte and that is exactly what Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer in Deep is. To elaborate it is a soft but highly pigmented bronzer (my swatches are of one swipe of product) that does blend out well and wears wonderfully well on my oily skin texture and does keep any area I apply it to matte over the course of wear which is around 7 hours or so.
In theory you can use any of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzers to contour due to their matte finish but as they do run a little orange I don't recommend it. Rather I suggest using them to add a little warmth to the skin. Over the last few days I have buffered a little onto the areas where the sun naturally bronzes my face.
