Don't be fooled by the title as we all know I am far from wise....far, far, far from it but annoyingly I assumed once I got my wisdom tooth was removed I'd be back to normal. Wrong!
My mouth and jaw in general is still rather painful and tender to touch so I have had to adjust my make-up choices accordingly. Luckily I don't have to do much this week but all the same I'd rather not scare the horses and children with my sans make-up face!
Pur CC Cream in Light*
No primer for me as the less I touch my jar the better really, a quick few pumps of this over my entire face is sufficient and as it has decent coverage I don't really have to much else. No the shade isn't perfect (a little too light) but once blended and a quick dusting of bronzer it actually looks pretty good!
Beautiful Movements Mineral Foundation in Maple Dew*
Although technically a foundation I find this powder foundation to work as a great bronzer with Pur's CC Cream. I haven't self tanned in a while so my skin is a little lighter than normal but I would imagine that both come the summer and should I fake tan once again this will be a pretty great match for my skin tone.
The foundation itself is light and a dream to blend, once my face is less swollen etc I will be sure to test it out properly.
Benefit Fake-Up Concealer in Medium
My under eye circles have went from now existent to boom I can see you from space status!
I harp on about Benefit's Fake Up Concealer all the time but honestly when it comes to concealing under the eyes I have found nothing better, it doesn't crease, it covers ( I do wish it covered a little better) and dispite being highly moisturising it stays in place all day! I'm now onto my second tube as I use it daily, so I guess that speaks volumes?
Bourjois Cream Blush in 01 Nude Velvet*
When the Bourjois Cream Blushes -review here launch next month haul ass to your nearest stockist and pick up at least one shade as they are truthfully one of the best cream blushes I have ever used.
They glide on with such ease, blend like a dream and settle to a natural dewy finish that lasts all day even on oily skin like mine. My go to shade is the peachy coral that is Nude Velvet it is a great everyday shade that is perfect for spring and summer.
Rimmel Apocalips in Nude Apocalips
I'm really not in the mood for proper lipstick at the moment, I know it will soon pass like everything does with me (queen of the cosmetic phase) but I'm stuck in a glossy situation at the moment.
There was a time you couldn't look at your blogger dashboard without the mention of a Rimmel Apocalips
but that seems to have sizzled out really quickly hasn't it? Well I'm still a loyal fan of mine particularly the nude shade it is just so easy to wear!
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
Can I confess that I don't actually like this mascara but I have ran out of all other options and until I go shopping this is all I have. I know such first world problems but when you have rubbish eyelashes like myself a good mascara is pretty much an essential. The only question is do I treat myself to YSL or go back to my beloved and slightly purse friendly Revlon number?
Shay & Blue Atropa Belladonna Fragrance*
I only posted about this fragrance a few days ago but I am borderline obsessed. It is just so darn sexy yet clean at the same time and when you look like you've been dragged through a hedge backwards every little help truly does count. Excuse me while I sniff myself all day...ahh!

Aw honey, hope you feel better. I should send you a Unicorn to make you smile. I haven't tried the Rimmel Apocalips because people weren't giving them the best thumbs up xo
ReplyDeleteA unicorn would be amazing haha! Ah really I rather like them as a change of pace but I wouldn't call them my holy grail or anything like that :) x
DeleteEughh I thought I needed to get my wisdom teeth out last summer cos my cheek was all swollen but it just out to be mumps!! They are a nightmare though. Hope you feel better soon :) I also agree about the scandaleyes - I don't think it's very good either...

all things look lovely... :)
ReplyDeleteOh god yeah the jaw does ache from the jab for a couple of days after :'( from what i remember. My flaming chic blush came today, it gives a nice walk in the park type of pink to the cheeks, although i did have to go at it hammer and tongs to get it to stick to my brush.(i think some have said its due to a waxy top layer).get well soon.x
ReplyDeleteI had to have my wisdom tooth removed alongside a molar, terrible!!! The pain or swelling was gone within the week though, but I did have to be put to sleep for mine as it was on the nerve! I hope you're feeling better soon, and managing to eat something :) I've recently given up the ghost with my YSL mascara, it's just so clumpy and... thick?! It might just be mine, but I've gone back to a more purse-friendly brand (think mine is Rimmel actually!) xx
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better - Wisdom teeth are the worst!
ReplyDeleteI bought the benefit's 'Fake up' at the weekend and I just doesn't have enough coverage for me sadly. I do like the formulation (although I am convinced it melts my bottom lash mascara) but there is such low coverage! Im unsure of benefits returns policy but I am going to try to take it back and buy my beloved erase paste instead! :)

ReplyDeleteI'd say mid, most days it is enough for me but if you need extra coverage Benefit's erase paste may be the way forward :)
