The sun is burning brightly in the sky (yes really!) and my need for neon and bright nail shades is at an all time high. Currently on my nails is Nubar Sour Apple Nail Lacquer a bright acid green that is not my usual choice but one that I have found my self admiring numerous times through course of wear.
I wouldn't deem Nubar Sour Apple Nail Lacquer to be neon but it is a shocking yellow tinged green
that is show stopping bright and works oh so well with black polish/nail art.
My only gripe with Nubar Sour Apple Nail Lacquer is that it applies a little streaky but this problem is fairly common with shades of this tone - to save applying countless coats I recommend applying a white base coat and then layering this on top. For reference I have not taken my own advice (do we ever?) and have applied four coats which did dry fairly quickly but painstaking so do use a white base coat should you purchase this shade.
If you are on the look out for a great bright yellow nail polish then look no further.

I love how your first sentence kinda rhymes, 'sky and high'. Haha. This color is lovely! Is it pretty chip resistant?
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm a poet and I didn't know it ;) On me Nubar wears really well and is one of the few brands that doesn't peel off. I'd say I get about 5 days of chip free wear.
DeleteI LOVE the colour, so pretty

The color is pretty strange but probably looks great in summer with some tan!

ReplyDeleteAwesome color. I have never tried this color before but surely going to try :)
ReplyDeleteSO bright! As always, love your photos. I love how yo always keep them in theme! I remember that you also did the same with Revlon Lip Butters in Cherry Tart. Perhaps I should start to be inspired.. That just means more fruits and yummy food for moi LOL
ReplyDeleteThis polish has given me a craving for sour sweets, it's such a great colour! I'm in serious need of some brighter colours to spice up my nails anyway, so I might just try this!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! Nice and vibrant for the season.
ReplyDeleteI really like this shade! 'ugly' pretty shades are the best! x
