Happy Easter everyone, I hope all that celebrate said occasion stuffed their faces with yummy chocolate!
I have a huge Easter egg to devour once I shake off what ever bug that has my immune system in a vice grip and I can not wait!
Anyway adventures in chocolate land aside let me share a few of this weeks staple products...
When you are feeling under the weather you want something quick and easy, for my eyes it has been all about Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Epatant a light mousse come gel product that glides on with such ease, looks great and lasts all day. Yes it may be a little pricey at £22 but totally worth every penny, it is all I can do not to rush out and buy one of every shade. Note to self hide bank card later.
As far as mascara is concerned I am all over Revlon's Photoready 3D Volume Mascara like a hot sweaty rash. It elongates my eyelashes, adds volume but yet looks natural. I can not vouch for this little baby enough!
Having the sniffles (can you call it that over the age of six?) has dried out my lips, weird huh?
Revlon Lip Butters are prefect for adding a little colour and sheen to the lips at the moment my favourite shade has to be Brown Sugar - a light yellow based nude that looks better on the lips than it does in the tube! To keep dryness at bay I've been slicking on a little of the deliciously scented Body Shop's Coconut lip butter.
Like I said simplicity has been key this week and for a quick flush of colour on my cheeks I have been relying on Benefit's Fine One One, yes it doesn't really show up all that well on my skin tone but it does add a light flush of colour as well as adding a little radiance to the skin.
My nails have taken a beating this week with lots of various new polish launches but I have been sporting Collection's new Gel Polish on my tootsies all week and can see it being a summer staple for me.
It wears exceptionally well and is a complete bargain at £3.19!

I'm dying to try the Collection 2000 gel polishes - they're so much cheaper than any other gel polishes I've seen!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the Chanel eyeshadow too but I'll have to save for that one!

I've just bought a Revlon Lip Butter because I thought it sounded more nourishing than other lipsticks out there so I can't wait to try it out. Fine One One's of my staple products too, I love how easy it is to apply to get a subtle colour.

Why do I always find the Body Shop lip butters to be so drying on the lips? Whenever I put them on, my lips get chapped really bad :(
ReplyDeleteI've seen the Revlon mascara and the brush is way to long for small eyes! :(

I can't decide whether I want fine one one. Not sure it will show on my skin tone much either.

Feel better and get well soon, and Happy Easter!! :D (It makes sense that your lips would dry out because your body is using a lot of water to make mucous, and people tend to breathe out of their mouths more when they have stuffed noses :))
ReplyDeleteLove the revlon lip butters! My favourite is a bright one called sweet tart
