I'm sure I'm not wrong in stating that we have all relied on a good smokey eye look at some point or other?
Well with Collection's Smokey Eyes Palette you can have all the shades you'll ever need for a sultry smokey eye make-up look and more for the small price of £4.19
It seems that Collection have went down the Benefit route when it comes to packaging - strong reinforced cardboard which admittedly can become pretty battered and worn looking rather quickly (all my Benefit blushes look a mess on the outside but are perfect on the inside).
As long as you have no problem with your palette becoming dogeared in terms of looks then the cardboard presents no problems as it is fairly sturdy and waterproof to boot.
The Collection Smokey Eyes Palette also comes with a foam applicator, how to guides on the reverse of the palette but oddly no mirror?
Inside this dinky little palette you will found nine eye shades - eight powder and one cream shadow which can double up as a highlighter or base should you wish. Now for a quick colour run down:
Top Row
Medium - A light true silver metallic shade with fine silver glitter.
Dark - Matte almost black, a little lacking in pigmentation truth be told.
Light - Stark matte white not as chalky as the other matte shades.
Middle Row
Medium - Light frosty golden taupe.
Dark - Grey toned matte brown
Light - Sugar pink matte shade than is a little on the ashen side of things.
Bottom Row
Medium - Light yet bright silver that reflects lilac in some lights.
Dark - Golden chocolate brown which slight golden shimmer flecks.
Cream - Light peachy pink cream shadow.
What I like most about the Collection Smokey Eyes Palette is not only are the shades well co-ordinated but you get a great range of formulas - cream, shimmer, matte and frost.
On the whole as you can see by my swatches the shades are well pigmented and should suit all skin tones,
i'm afraid as with most high street palettes the matte shades are a little chalky.
For £4.19 you get a good range of shades that can create several looks coupled with cream shadow that doubles up as a primer, yes some of the shades are a little lack luster in terms of pigmentation and there is some product fall out but on the whole it is a bargain palette and great for a night out!

Pretty nice palette to play around with... Too bad Collection isn't available in my country anymore...

The colors in this are super pretty, but the packaging really annoys me for some reason? The random ovals on the lid of this are just a turn off to me.

Great price for the number of shades you get! Although I agree that so many high street matte shadows are too chalky, which is always disappointing!
