I have a huge soft spot for cream eyeshadows as when they are good they are really great value for money as they can be used in a whole manner of ways. However when they are bad they really aren't worth mentioning which is always disappointing as ironically it is always the prettiest shades that tend to let me down.Take for instance the new E.L.F Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick's an array of truly stunning shades with a formula that is not so spectacular.

Much like NYX's Jumbo Pencils E.L.F's version come in large chunky crayon style containers which are easy to use and as they don't require sharpening you don't have to worry about loosing half of your pencil to a sharpener. To release new product all you have do is wind up the bottom of the pencil and hey presto...if only more brands would follow suit!

At the moment E.L.F offer 10 shades of the E.L.F Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick which I do think is pretty substational and a pretty varied range. In the end I went for a few neutral shades (total creature of habit) and top of my hit list was Turkish Coffee. E.L.F's Turkish Coffee is the most scrumptious deep metallic brown shade that leans slightly golden and is pretty much a suit all shade.
I figured it would compliment most of my powder eyeshadows and would be a shade I'd get plenty of use of.
Well that is where the praise end's I'm afraid.

Now don't get me wrong the formula glides on with such ease which is always a blessing on the delicate eye area and in theory as it is a pencil product it can be used in a multitude of ways including: as an eyeliner, as an all over wash of colour and as a base to apply powder products on top of.
All of this would be true if the formula wasn't so prone to creasing - I have tried everything including between several switching primers, not using a primer (not sure how that would help but I tried none the less) and layering powder products on top to no avail. In the end it really didn't matter what I did within an hour, two at a push E.L.F Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick gave up the will to live and creased. Normally I would blame my oily lids but with such a reduced wear time I'm afraid in this instance the formula is to blame.
