Launching on the 15th of this month (March 2013) is a new cream foundation from Clinique.
Clinique Even Better Compact Make-Up is of course the younger sister of the original Clinque Even Better Foundation and will be available in a huge array of shades - twenty to be exact.

Encased within a sleek silver compact lies Clinique Even Better Compact Make-Up complete with a sponge and a really great quality mirror, admittedly the compact is a little larger than most but not so much that it isn't travel friendly and as it is rather lightweight it won't weigh your bag down.

So yes twenty shades ranging from very light to deep, I was sent a true medium tan shade - 7 Cream Chamois which is a golden tan shade and a good match for those who have a golden undertone and wear approximately MAC NC30/35 as it is a little too light for me as an NC37/40.
As a friendly pointer do always get colour matched for Clinique foundations as I find shaded vary across their foundation range and they do have a tendency to oxidize (deepen throughout the day), how much of that is to blame on my oily skin type I do not know but I thought it was worth mentioning.
As Clinique is all about the well being of skin it will come as little of a surprise that this contains an SPF 15.

Clinique Even Better Compact Make-Up is much creamier than the original Clinique Even Better foundation offering. The original does require a little building to become full coverage where as this doesn't, it glides on and covers most minor imperfections including minor acne scarring in one quick step.
To apply believe it or not I do find the sponges to be one of the best methods to do so, I tend to use a beauty blender with cream compact foundations but you can of course use brushes or your fingertips.
Having oily skin I do find you really do have to set cream formulas as their creamy texture has a tendency to slip throughout the day but if you set it with a good powder you should be okay. In terms of wear with a primer and after setting with a powder I find I get around 8 hours of wear but I should warn that this formula will cling to dry areas so maybe one to skip if you have a drier skin type.
Otherwise this is a great addition to the Clinique line up and I think fans of full coverage foundation will really enjoy using Clinique Even Better Compact Make-Up.
