By Terry is not a brand I splash out on all that often but I will be the first to admit that every piece I have bought from said make-up line has been worth the splurge and then some.
While I am making admissions I am from the Lauren Conrad school of make-up the less eye make-up the better, don't get me wrong I truly adore full on looks on others but for me a simplistic approach is works best. For a simple and effective eye look I feel that everyone should own at least one By Terry Ombre Blackstar Color Fix Cream Eyeshadow.

What I adore about the By Terry brand is that everything feels and looks luxurious and although I am a firmer believer of it is what inside that counts I'd only be lying to myself if I said my head wasn't swayed by a beautifully packaged product every now and then.
All of the shades within the By Terry Ombre Blackstar come presented within a the golden chrome pencil like casing that is as robust and practical as it is pretty.
An all round winner if you ask me.

At £27.50 a pop now is not the time to experiment with colours you are unsure of (unless you are a millionaire, in that case knock yourself out) so I went with a trusted light golden but taupe tinged shade that I have been using pretty much daily since purchasing.
The odd thing about Bronze Moon is once applied (on myself anyway) it takes on a cooler and lighter tone than how it appears in bullet form, on my skin tone it is similar to MAC Satin Taupe.
Okay the shade may not be groundbreaking but the By Terry Ombre Blackstar formula is!

Like most cream eyeshadows you can use this in a good number of ways - an all over wash of colour, as a base and as an eye liner, my favoured way is to apply all over my lid, blend out and then add a little depth to my crease with a matte black eyeshadow, simple and effective.
Speaking of blending out the soft creamy formula is a complete dream, I tend to run a little over my eye lids and then blend out with a fluffy brush but at a push your fingertips can also work.
The most astounding aspect of the By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadows is the lasting power, sooner or later most cream formulas give way to my oily lids and crease but not this one, oh no sir!
With a quick dab of primer By Terry Ombre Blackstar Ombre Cream Eyeshadows stay in place for 12 hours with ease, the colour remains bold and true up until I remove it which like I said is a rarity in my case.
In short I totally adore this formula and will be adding a few more shades to my stash.
