Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up - Review

New and exclusive to M&S in the UK is Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up.
This nifty and rather beautiful compacts holds a disk of mineral powder that is a foundation, concealer, powder and sunscreen all in one.Sounds a little to good to be true? Well read on and find out!

Mineral make-up is not new but this is the first time I have tried anything in pressed form, most mineral formulas tend to be loose and a result messy and something I avoid so a pressed formula is music to my ears.
Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up comes presented in a beautiful silver compact with a pretty design on the front and a good sized mirror on the inside but to aid application it also comes with it's own chisel brush, which is a little dry to begin with so give it a quick wash to soften the bristles before use.

Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up is currently available in 10 shades ranging from very light to deep which isn't always the case in the UK. I have the shade Golden Medium which is a good match for anyone around the NC30/35 mark with yellow undertones.

So what does Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up do?
As mentioned it is a foundation, concealer, powder with added SPF15 to boot.
It does conceal light marks and blemishes but it is fairly light in coverage so it won't be ideal for those
with problem skin or for those that prefer full coverage.
As it is powder I felt it looked a little flat and cakey on the skin opposed to liquid foundation when worn alone but I did apply a few layers for fuller coverage.
One layer will even the skin tone and does not settle into fine lines and open pores and gives a great
even but light finish anymore than that and you run the risk of it appearing heavy.
Summed up it is a nice powder and perfect for those that need very little coverage but for myself it is just another face powder and not something I would use to replace my everyday foundation.

  1. I'm a big fan of powder foundation (my usual is MAC Studio Fix plus powder), but this could be something I'd try out!
