NARS Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo

How many neutral eye products does one gal need?
How many do you have seems like a good answer in my head!
The newest addition to my neutral eyeshadow line up is NARS Kalahari duo which admittedly
does not look all that enticing in pan form but once applied NARS does not disappoint once again.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about the infamous NARS buttery soft rubber casings?
Nothing! Quickly summed up they get grubby really quickly and despite being rubber they
are not all that shock absorbent, if you drop your compact for a height you best believe that powder inside
will crumple like...well I don't have a PG13 appropriate analogy but you get the idea.
On the plus side the packaging is fairly iconic and the mirror is of good quality.
You win some, you loose some.

NARS Kalahari duo composes of one bright yet old bronze shade that is not all that dissimilar from MAC Woodwinked and the other segment is a cool toned taupe that has a slight green nuance and in some lights reminds me of MAC's Club Eyeshadow but isn't quite as duo chrome in finish.
Out of all the NARS duos I have tested and lusted over this is the one I recommend for blue or grey eyes
as both shades really allow such eye colours to pop especially if paired with a black eyeliner
and lashings of mascara.
On a side note this duo works really well with NARS Galapagos solo eyeshadow (review link).

Both shades are metallic with a frost finish so not ideal if you prefer matte formulas
but other wise they are wonderful options for those like myself who enjoy neutral eyeshadows.
I have no complaints about the formula of either shade, each is well pigmented and layers on well
with minimal fall out and is soft to the touch allowing for easy blending etc.
In terms of wear I really do feel this boils down to the individual,
I have oily skin so I hit around the 4-5 hour mark before it creases
yet if I use primer (I seem to bang on a lot about primer in this post) I can with ease achieve 8+ hours.
