Please excuse the less than pleasant title but there really is no pretty way to sugar coat the topic of clogged pores! Having oily skin (I apologise if you are sick to the back teeth of hearing about my oily woes) my pores have a tendency to clog and as a result become enlarged.
Now I'm not going to feed you lies and tell you that there is a quick fix or a way of forever ridding yourself
of such hindrances because if there is I've yet to stumble across it.
What I can share is a few products that have helped improve my pore situation ten fold!
On no she's mentioning Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, well that's right buddy I am!
I accredit Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel for helping clear my skin of excess sebum and flushing my pores on a daily basis, preventing other pores for becoming clogged.
I really do wish that I had snapped before and after images of skin since switching to this cleanser
as the results would impress any doubting Thomas's alas I didn't so you only have my word.
Essentially what I'm saying is find a great cleanser (non-foaming) and stick with it,
not rocket since no but something I wish I had done a long, long time ago - ditch those cleansing wipes, foaming cleansers and thank me later...says Captain Obvious.
How many posts have you read about Origins Clear Improvement Mask ?
Countless I'm guessing, well that is because it really does work.
Like most before applying this mask for the first time I was ever the sceptic as so far most pore aimed products have been full of empty promises.
However I can assure that this really does clear enlarged pores and in turn tightens them too so they appear smaller. I can also imagine this to be great for those who have issues with blackheads.
If you are looking for a quick, immediate deep cleanse for pesky pores pick this up ASAP!
Oh pore strips how I love thee.
I love peeling you off and looking at all the gunk you extract, sometimes staring and analysing it longer than anyone ever should but why deny yourself of a little fun...well if you can call it that?
So yes pore stripes those little cotton patches of grip on to dirt, grime and cleanse deeply to unclog blocked pores instantly and remove blackheads.
I will use any pore strip brand at a push but I do prefer Biore particularly the Deep Cleansing variety
which are great for stubborn blockages (eww I know.)
Whack one on, sit back and let it work it's magic, novel yet effective what more could you want from a beauty product?
Do you have any must have pore products I should add to my arsenal?

I love the Origins mask! I must say I never seem to get on too well with strips, but perhaps I'll give Biore a go!

I use the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Scrub (best scrub I've ever used) along with both The Body Shops Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask and Lush's Mask of Magnaminty. I find these three product drastically reduce the number a size of my blocked pores, but when they aren't enough, I use Beauty Formulas Deep Treatment Nose Strips. They work like a charm. I have an extremely oily T-zone so I know your woe.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try the Origins Mask once my 100 Day challenge is up, everyone raves about it. Have a lovely weekend

Good to know! I was actually looking for some good de-clogging products lately, this was very useful! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to love the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel but it gave me blackheads, which I never get, and the most painful breakout on my chin and jaw! Such a shame, I can normally stick through things like that to see if it's just a purge but they were so bad I couldn't put myself through it. I've heard such good things as well.
ReplyDeleteI've used Bioré pore strips for my partner's nose and they are amazing!
ReplyDeleteBut... What do you do when you take it off? The pores are clean, but opened. What should we use? I normally take a cotton pad with an astringent toner and then a moisturiser, do you think we're doing well?
I seriously want that mask! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I have to try the Biore Cleansing Strips, I've used a few in the passed but never been that pleased with them. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHave you tried using a personal microdermabrasion system? I love mine!
ReplyDeleteI use the Biore nose strips all the time!! The work so well!
