Butter London is my latest nail polish obsession - tongue in cheek shade names all based on British slang,
funky and original colours coupled with a wonderful formula and a great brush has seen the brand
worm its way into my affections.

Dodgy Barnett is Butter London's silver holographic offering but unlike the high street versions
this is less in your face and a subtle take on the holographic trend.
Some silver holo shades appear flat when on the nails and as not dazzling as they do in the light but Dodgy Barnett looks as good basking in the bright light showcasing its rainbow effect as it does without.
I believe this is because it does dry to a flat, matte finish but rather has a high glossy sheen
almost jelly effect finish.

The only downside I found to Dodgy Barnett is that it is very sheer and does require a good few coats to
allow the full effect of the holographic glitter to take center stage.
On my nails I have four coats but I feel it could do with at least another two for it to become opaque,
in hindsight I wish I had applied it over a white or black base but hey ho you live and learn.
However on the plus side if applied thinly each coat did dry exceptionally fast.

If you are looking for a slightly more sophisticated holo polish then I'm sure Butter London Nail Lacquer in Dodgy Barnett will be to your taste!
