If like myself you do not have a bath in your house now is the time to pop along to your local Lush
store and stock up on some limited edition shower gels to make your morning winter showers
that little bit more enjoyable.
At the moment they have 3 limited edition varieties for you to try out which include: Twilight, Snow Fairy
and Ponche, each scent is very different from the last so there should be something for everyone
but for me Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a bottle of Lush's Snow Fairy!
Ponche 100g/£4.25 via Lush - link
"This packs a ponche - with orange juice and a shot of tequila
Inspired by traditional Mexican Christmas punch – this shower gel is bright, boozy, fruity and uplifting.
Freshly squeezed orange juice, plum and cinnamon infusions, a good shot of tequila and a fruity fragrance all add up to your own little party in the shower.
But this is one party punch that will hit the spot without leaving you with a headache the next day!
Feel refreshed and ready to face the morning.
So good, you will want to have another one for the road."
This is a bright fruity concoction with a slight boozy kick, in an odd way it reminds me scent wise
of a Christmas Trifle particularly the jelly base.
I recommend this one for all those who struggle to awaken in the cold mornings
and despite it claiming to have a cinnamon infusion fellow spice avoiders can rejoice
as you can't detect that note in the slightest.
Snow Fairy 100g/£3.50 via Lush - link
"Our winter temptress shower hair and body gel that’s bursting with fruit fragrance and has a sparkle of ice through it.
Now we must confess, it’s a mystery to us why this one particular product should become our No1 Christmas best seller.
It’s not your classic hippy dippy Lush herbal offering.
Instead it is an intensely sweet, fruity pink shower gel loved by people everywhere."
This is my favourite Lush item ever and the one I get a little giddy about each Winter.
I always buy one small bottle and one huge bottle to see me through the festive period
but I never stock pile it as I feel using it all year round ruins the "magic" of the product.
In my opinion it smells very similar to Juicy Fruit chewing gum but it is meant to evoke
memories of Candyfloss and Pear Drop sweets, either way I adore it.
Twilight 100g/£4.25 via Lush - link
"Because we are all made of stars!
A lavender and malt notes shower gel to calm, relax and comfort as it helps you transition from day to night.
Do you want to look up at the night sky and remember that you are part of it?
Then Twilight will help you connect. For a good night’s sleep, use this before bed."
I've reviewed this in full in the past but to summarise this shower gel in scented with the same
fragrance as the popular Twilight bath bomb, only I'd go as far as saying this is more intense.
It is a lavender and malt medley that is perfect for a pre-bed shower to relax and soothe
or it could be used as a light bubble bath if you wish.
A great choice for those who find it hard to unwind at night.
Have you picked up any of the limited edition Lush Shower Gels?
Do you have a favourite?
They all smell really nice but my fav are Snow fairy and Ponche! I was surprised Lush released such a fruity scent-can't wait to pick it up since it's not in my Lush yet (only had a preview sniff from the store manager hehe) :))

I love lush, I think it is one of the best shops except for some clothes shops and Superdrug/Boots. The pink one looks really appealing but when I went in lush earlier it wasn't there. Oh well maybe next time, by the way I love the pictures on this post x
ReplyDeleteI don't absolutely love Snow Fairy - it's too sickly, but Twilight is amazing! x

As much as I love Snow Fairy I haven't repurchased this year. I managed to make my bottle from 2011 last right up until last month (saved for special occasions) but I have to say sometimes the scent is so potent that it actually makes me cough! I wonder if anyone else finds this. I like the sound of the other two limited scents on offer, wonder if they will take off as much as Snow Fairy! x
ReplyDeleteI've never tried the Twilight scent but it sounds like it's amazing. I love the look of it with the tiny glitter pieces!
