to prevent my make-up from sliding off my face throughout the day.
My usual and favoured primer is one by Rimmel but it was out of stock not so long ago
and I decided that perhaps it was time to explore other high street primers which led me to picking up
NYC's Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer.
For a product under £4 it is very well presented, okay it's not on par with Chanel
but I have seen a whole lot worse and the squeeze style tube is pretty inoffensive to the eyes
not to mention it travels well without leaks or spillages.
NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer does state that it is suitable for all skin types but I do feel
that its thick moisturising formula would be better suited to those with normal-dry skin types.
The primer is white in colour but blends away to a transparent finish that does add a radiant glow
to the skin which is great for those with dull skin not to mention it evens the skin tone and helps to
blur out imperfections such as fine lines and pores.
Truthfully due to the slight shimmer element I would avoid this product if you have enlarged pores
as I found it to highlight them rather than reduce their appearance but it does however help to prolong
the wear of any liquid product particularly when set with a powder.
The beauty of this product is that it can be used in several ways including as a base, a liquid highlighting
product or wore alone as a light moisturiser with a subtle radiant finish.
NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer 30ml/£3.99 via Superdrug,
not currently online but is available in store.
Wow that sounds decent and a lovely price. Which rimmel primer do you use?
