I've tried quite a few water based cleansers and do deem them to be a great efficient way to quickly
cleanse without going down the whole cleansing wipe route.
I will be truthful and say that I really did enjoy using the original Bioderma (red cap) option
but as it is not readily available in the UK I wanted to seek out similar products that are easy enough to
source when running low!
If you live in the UK/IRE you will often feel like you cannot get rid of the £5 off No7 vouchers,
it's a vicious circle you use one only to receive another and a fiver off is always appealing
so there is no escape haha!
I tend to use the vouchers to try out items in the No7 range I haven't tested before and this is how
my experience with the Beautiful Cleansing Water came about.
Basically the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water that is easily dispensed using the pump supplied,
all cleansers of this type should come with a pump in my opinion, it honestly makes a world of difference!
The cleanser itself has a light fresh scent not to dissimilar to that of a typical facial wipe,
is clear in colour and on the skin has the sensation of a slightly oily water.
The cleansing water is hypo-allergenic so it is safe to use on sensitive skin
but has been formulated to suit normal to oily types.
To use I simply squirt a little on a cotton pad and quickly whirl it all over my face,
I do wear quite a lot of make-up so usually it can take around 3 pads to make me feel clean
but that is purely subjective and you can find your own comfort zone.
The beauty of this cleanser is that it effectively melts away any make-up, dirt or grime without any
effort or stripping of the skin and you do not have to rinse it off afterwards making it perfect for on the go types or lazy sausages who'd rather sleep than cleanse!
Sadly this is not for use on the eye area so you will have to remove eye make-up by other means
but for the face and neck it really is a great product to have handy.
If you have normal-oily skin and are in the market for a water based cleanser
I don't think you will find anything better on the UK high street!
No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water for Normal/Oily Skin (currently on a 3 for 2 at Boots)
200ml/£9 via Boots only - link
Might try this!

I enjoy it :)
DeleteWe haven't got N7 here, only serum7 and that range of products available in pharma, soooooo expensive!! Not like in UK :S
ReplyDeleteI like Bioderma too, also Sebium range. La Roche Posay has a very good micelar water too, so does Sephora... Have you got Sephora in UK? Deliplus has released one too...
I'll decant some and send you over some No7 products next month :)
DeleteI like Bioderma I just don't love it, I picked up some Roche Posay items and like them thus far :)
No we don't which SUCKS!!!
I'm sorry I haven't got a Sephora corner here, but in the island beside XD If I go there, I'll pick one up for you to try ;)
DeleteI've just finished Deliplus, so I can't send you a sample... I shall repurchase when I finish the one I'm using and send you some ;)

I'm glad you like it too :)
DeleteThanks for the review! I'm glad you stated that it is not for eye make-up otherwise i would have bought it and damaged my eyes lol. x

Haha no worries :) I doubt it would do much damage other than sting your eyes
DeleteThanks for the review! I sve this and wasn't aware that it was suitable for use on eyes, any idea why not? I've been using it to remove eye make up and haven't had any adverse reaction but am a bit scared now! :-/ xx
ReplyDeleteI do like this stuff, but it is nowhere near as good as bioderma, even if it is cheaper! Smells yummy though.
ReplyDeleteI got this with a no7 voucher too, but I find that it leaves a weird residue on my skin :/ maybe it's just my skin type. I love it despite this though - a decent toner sorts out my problem! :) xo
ReplyDeleteyet to try this, but i do love their new melting gel cleanser!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely, i really want to try out the NO7 skincare range. Great post :)

been looking for something like this. never have tried any no7 items but will head over and get some! gigi. food and beauty blogger @ www.gigikkitchen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI recently reviewed this having been sent it by the lovely people at Boots and I was very impressed. I have been using it to remove eye makeup (naughty) and havent found that it irritates or anything plus it has left my skin feeling super soft afterwards whereas the Bioderma can leave my skin a tad dry. I think Bioderma has finally met its UK high street match!

It's a shame you can't use this on the eyes but I'd definitely try the dry skin version the next time the £5 vouchers are about xxx

ReplyDeletemight give this a go, i've been wanting to try bioderma for a while but this will do! xx
ReplyDeleteI did the exact same and bought this while having a voucher, i like it aswel but i tend to remove my makeup and use this as an extra cleanse and sweap all over my face, proberlya pointless step bit i do like the feeling it leaves you with and it has lasted me a good while also which is a plus and cant go wrong with the price, looking forward to hearing about some other no7 products you try x
